Libby

It was dark in the house, except for one room where Libby chose to reside. Sat on the couch she mindlessly shovelled handfuls of salty popcorn into her mouth as she watched the horror movie on television. Usually, her parents disapproved of her watching such films but they were away and she had full rein of everything.

As the credits began to roll, they were slowly moved to one side as the news came on. Wandering out of the room with the bowl in hand, Libby heard the seemingly flustered News Anchor as they mentioned a spate of ferocious animal attacks across the country. Once in the kitchen Libby placed the bowl on the countertop and strode back into the lounge.

Moments later there was a shrill ring as someone pressed the buzzer, Libby suddenly felt extremely isolated and alone. With her heart racing she anxiously moved toward the door and peered through the eye-hole to see...
