Chapter 6 by SkyDreamer SkyDreamer

Magic items found below

Legendary

Legendary items are more likely to be found in folklore than in person, because their mere presence is capable of creating tales worth telling. In many cases, only one of these items exists in the entire world, and it may be impossible to replicate it.

Below are a few examples.

The Master Sword

Requires attunement.

Otherwise known as the "Blade of Evil's Bane," this longsword is the quintessential legendary weapon in Hyrule. It is capable of destroying magical barriers and breaking curses made with powerful dark magic. It can also fire beams of energy when its bearer is at full HEALTH.

The Master Sword chooses its wielder. It sits and waits in its pedestal in the Lost Woods, and can only be drawn by a true hero that is "pure of heart and strong of body." People with tainted hearts cannot even touch this powerful sword.

The Master Sword cannot be permanently destroyed, but it can be improved through smithing, or dulled through disuse or evil machinations. For this reason, its damage and modifier to hit may vary each time it is encountered.

The Collar of the Eternal Servant

This collar contains a willful spirit within itself called the Eternal Servant, who exists to serve. When it is put around the neck of a living creature, it will impose its will onto the wearer, overwriting their free will with its own desire to serve. The first person that the Servant sees through the host's eyes (other than the host themself) will be registered as their master, and the Servant will be 100% obedient to this master. If the host is blind, a magic eye will appear on their face to grant them vision. The collar can only be removed by the master, in which case the original will of the creature will be restored. They will remember everything that happened during their time as a host.

The Servant overwrites the host's WILL with its own, which is infinite. All other attributes, spells and abilities match those of the original host. If the host levels up, the Servant can assign points and pick new spells and abilities for them.

If the master dies without removing the collar or designating a successor to obey, then the Servant will follow the master's post-mortem wishes as best as it can guess as to what those would be, until the host body eventually expires. The collar can then freely be removed from the corpse.
