Later...

You wake up to see Elise sitting beside you, looking forlorn. She has the remains of her tattered robe draped around her.

"What's wrong?" You ask. "Do you regret what we did?" You are suddenly filled with a strange sense of compassion for the elf. She was the first meaningful interaction you've ever had.

"No!" She exclaimed. "Never! But it's just that my friends were messaging me last night while we were... doing what we did." She blushed slightly. "They think I was ignoring them, and now they blocked me and never want to party with me again. I don't know how to explain it to them... or if I should even bother."

"You can always find another party." You pause for a moment before adding, "or I could journey with you."

She smiles at me. "It's not the simple. It's just that they're my friends IRL too. I spend a lot of time here, but I don't want what happens here to cause problems there too."

What she is saying makes no sense to you. "What??" You say. She is confused by your baffled look, then something seems to dawn on her.

"You know what.... yeah, we can journey together," she says. "You said you've been lonely and I don't think you'll find someone like me to talk to anytime soon."

"I don't think there's anyone else like you period." You say quietly.

She smiles. "Okay, so what should we do?"

"We could challenge the boss," you suggest. "Or go somewhere else. I've never been outside of these caves."
