Chapter 12 by simmaster simmaster

What do you do?

Kill her.

It would be too risky keeping her around for more sessions, and you're sure you'll come across more heroes to fuck. So you simply attack her unarmored head with your teeth, and soon she's dead.

*Ding*

Another level up! Before you can open your stats to check what these two new levels have brought, you feel that pain again. The pain of growing.

Once more you twist and turn in agony as your body grows. Muscles swell, claws and teeth extend, all of you becomes bigger, stronger and better.

Once the process is over you open your stats, eager to see the change.

Werewolf (Mikael)
Lvl: 8 -> 10
Melee Attack: 10 -> 15
Armor: 2 -> 5
Weaknesses: Fire, Silver
Special Abilities:
Bloodlust: You deal more damage the less health you have.
Tracking: Enemies leave a trail that disappears after 30s * your level.
Heightened Senses: You can see in the dark, hear sounds from further away, smell enemies from further away and distinguish them by smell.

Ability Gained!
Blood of the Beast: Regenerate 0.25 HP/sec.

At last... At long last you're a fully grown werewolf! You FINALLY got that passive regeneration that werewolves are supposed to have, and you can already feel it working on your wounds. Sure, it's a very slow regeneration ability, but it's still very useful. It should make it way easier to outlast your enemies. And if you can keep leveling up, you're sure it will become more powerful. You would like to have an active ability though... All these passives are really helpful, but having something to use strategically in combat would probably also be really helpful.

You also notice that your title is gone. You suppose it makes sense since you're not exactly a street urchin anymore, and there's no longer much of a point in making heroes aware of your lack of parents either. You wonder if this means you no longer have your questgiver privileges though, and attempt to open up the menu.

To your relief, it's still there. You still have your valuable ability to make up quests for heroes.

You then see the sun rising through the trees, and you revert to your human form before you even have time to inspect your brand new full werewolf look. You do however notice that you're no longer a human child dressed in rags. You're a grown man wearing absolutely nothing, as your clothing was ruined when you first grew.

You still can't see your face, but you inspect what you can of your new human form with interest. You seem pretty standard in terms of build, perhaps a bit more athletic than average. You also got a bit of a tan, not enough to be referred to as tanned, but enough to not be referred to as pale. Overall you're quite pleased with your look from what you can see. Question is, now what? Judging from the power level of those heroes, this forest would make a good grinding spot assuming that other heroes like them come by semi-frequently. However, during the day you're ****. An ordinary human with no clothing nor weapon- wait...

You find that you still have Vidla's dagger in your inventory. You never did figure out how your inventory works... When you turned into a werewolf you couldn't equip items, nor did you have a place to store them, but somehow they would still be there when you reverted. You weren't complaining though, at least you had some means of fighting if necessary. But hopefully, your status as a questgiver could make it unnecessary in case you wander into some unfriendly heroes. Monsters were a different matter though... Maybe you should look for a safer place to stay during the day?

Should you?
