Chapter 9 by Stalagg Stalagg

Who is your next focus?

Half-Orcess

Judging by how the group operated, Faldin was by far the stronger of the three and the highest level from what you could tell. The Gnome's equipment betrayed her true level so this meant the Half-Orc was now your biggest threat. While the concept of going after someone was entirely new to you it wasn't going to stop you. You've been given a chance unlike any other and there was no wasting it, not with the momentum you had going on there anyway. You knew you could attack, you had a useful trait. Now it was only a matter of applying these new found talents and killing the Half-Orcess.

Adjusting your Sack, which now felt noticeably lighter, you left the chamber and Faldin's respawning remains behind. Entering a side tunnel you slide through with no difficulty but found you needed to mind your Sack's position given your slight increase in size. A small detail but years of doing the same mundane things amplified even the slightest of change. You emerged out of the side tunnel into a new winding chamber which was devoid of anything. Though you knew the Caverns of Kaligoth like the back of your Sack that didn't mean you knew the location of the two woman party at any given moment...or did you? You scratched your leathery chin in thought for a moment, tapping it with your claw before taking a deep breath of air and exhaling. How were you going to find these two? You couldn't just stumble onto them, you needed the element of surprise.

Inhaling though allowed you to catch a whiff of an all too familiar smell on the cave's air. Gold! Of course, why didn't you think of this before!? You could smell out Gold and the heroes always had some on them! You could track them through smell! Congratulating yourself for your brilliance you then solely started to breath through your nose, focusing your sense to hone in on the scent of Gold. Immediately you locked in on the trail the heroes were leaving and you banked left to follow it.

Left. Left. Right. Up the tunnel. Around the corner. The longer you spent tracking the easier and easier it became to focus in on your targets. It wasn't long before you slide to a halt just at the edge of your tunnel which lead into the one where the Ranger and Mage lay. With their tank down the Half-Orcess would obviously be the one to lead so she would respond to your bait. Clearing your throat you gave a cackling chuckle and you even jingled your Sack for good measure. Greed would win out over common sense, hell you could count it down. Three, two, one-

"That Treasure Goblin is nearby, down this way!"

"W-Wait Hilda!"

The Gnome's meek voice called out as you heard the Half-Orcess' approach. Your body tensed from her approach feeling like a spring trap ready to let loose it's pent up energy. The moment you saw the light of 'Hilda's' torch you pounced out and swiped your clawed hand across her abdomen. You were rewarded with a surprised shout of pain and you felt the finely crafted wood of her bow in your hand. Your grin widened when you saw your new trait worked perfectly, Hilda still blinking in surprise by her weapon's theft.

"What in the world- Damn thing stole my bow!"

The Ranger shouted as she drew her dagger, causing you to realized you had been standing there gawking at your success. Snapping back to reality you struck with the bow itself and smacked Hilda's arm firmly with it, being rewarded with another shout of pain and her dropping her dagger. You caught the knife with your foot, catching the blade in between your toes and jumping back from her torch that she now swung with growing frustration.

"Stop that!"

The Ranger bellowed as she swung her torch again, this time catching you across the jaw. Whipping back you grunted in slight pain, feeling a burn mark on your chin and knowing you took some damage. Thankfully though a torch didn't count for much and you had plenty of health to spare. Knowing this you struck again, jumping forward and swinging Hilda's bow and hitting her cheek. Her entire chest piece came off this time, allowing you to see her firm figured body and her barely restrained tits threatening to burst from their binding. Now blushing fiercely she started swinging harder and faster, **** to make sense of what was happening and put you down before this went any further.

"What the fuck is going on!? How is this happening!?"

Hilda demanded to know, bringing her torch on your head and forcing you to reel back. In melee you had nothing to worry about and you tossed the bow aside, knowing you'd deal more damage with your clawed hands than some makeshift weapon. While cackling still you lashed out again and again. This was unprecedented, no monster should ever have such ease over a hero regardless of their level. But here you stood, attacking the very things that made them powerful. Her helmet was removed, revealing her brown dreadlocks. Her arm bracers, shin guards, shoes, her pants, Hilda was losing everything on her inventory and growing more and more worried as her health plummeted. She was on her last legs, her body was covered in fresh gashes and all your damage was punching through thanks to her lack of armor. Giggling in euphoria you smacked her again, this time her torch being thrown out of her hands and landing on the cave floor, rolling to a stop before a terrorfied Gnome Mage who was watching all of this in terror.

Hilda turned to run, you reached out and caught her by her ankles. She hit the cave floor hard, her breast wrappings being torn off but out of your view. She looked up towards her companion, now understanding she was going to die. Her friend didn't stand a chance against you. Your prey was ****, you bent your knees before leaping forward.

"Tani run-!"

Hilda was silenced as your arm punched through her spine entirely, what a perfect moment for a critical strike to occur. The Half-Orcess seized up in that moment before going slack entirely and resting still on the stone floor. You felt a rush of experience flow into your body and heard the tall tell ding of leveling up.

Promotion!

You raised a non-existent eyebrow at the last message. Promotion? What did that mean? You didn't have long to wonder though as you looked up and noticed you had a one more hero to address. The little Gnome Mage. Tani apparently her name was. You liked that name, licking your crooked teeth and stepping on Hilda's head before stalking over to her. Understandably frightened Tani pointed her staff at you and a small spear made of ice was launched and struck into your chest, earning a hiss of horrid pain. An Ice Mage!? Who in the world ever picked Ice as their starting specialty!? Realizing the danger she actually posed you rushed forward, advancing on her rapidly and earning a yelp of surprise from the busty little Gnome. You swiped out and caught her on the side of her head, stealing her staff and sending her small form against a nearby wall. Slumping down she remained still, the lack of any experience telling you that you only knocked her ****.

You broke her staff in half on your knee and threw the pieces behind you, not caring where they landed now that she couldn't channel magic anymore without it. She was too inexperienced to know any spells that didn't need a catalyst of some kind. Now all that was left was to deal with the Gnome, her curvy little body still being hugged tightly by her cute blue robes.

What to do with the Gnome?
