Chapter 9 by Blackhand Blackhand

What Does She Say?

Friends Make Everything Better

She leaned back in the chair when you said that, certainly not to turned on by the conversation to think this through clearly. She pushed the glasses up on her face.

“I see” she says, crossing her arms. “I suppose that with a partner I’d be able to do alot more with the machine then just by myself. But, I’d originally intended the design to be something I could do by myself.”

“Well, you had to, right?” You sit back on the bean chair next to hers. “It’s not like people willing and able to help you operate the machine were easy to come by.”

“I suppose that it means that I would also be able to add some kind of mechanism to control the rate of the pump” she mutters to herself, tilting her head.

“But, doing something like this, something so embarrassing, would take being with someone I trust alot.” She tries to stare you down.

“It would,” You agree.

“Someone I’ve known for awhile…” Her gaze is as intense as a magnifying glass over an ant.

“Well, how long do you think it will take to redesign and then produce the machine you ask?” You ask, crossing your legs.

“A few months at least” she concedes.

“Plenty of time for you to get to know the people in your life I’d say.” You chuckle. “Probably enough time to weed out people you’re talking to in order to find a good candidate.”

“So,” you cut the bullshit. “Partners?”

She hesitates. You can see how all of this could go wrong. So far being forward has worked for you. She’s intense when she wants to be, but she doesn’t shy away from dramatic moves, like the first thing with the backpack. Your eyes focus on the solid white nape of her neck. Her skin is so soft. So smooth. Your cock stiffens slightly in your jeans, but you manage to control it before it becomes noticeable.

“Partners” she says, and holds out her hand. You shake it respectfully. The next few minutes are spent comparing schedules and seeing when you both have time to meet. She’s a double major in architecture and engineering, so that tends to cut into her free time quite a bit. Once you agree on times, she stands up to leave.

“I’m glad I met you Atticus” she says, keeping her face turned away from you. “I think this is the start of a productive partnership.”

“Likewise, Seo-Yun” You nod. “Before you leave, don’t you think we need a team name?”

She turns back towards you with an evil grin.

“The Shit for Brains” she says with a giggle, and then turns around to leave. Much to your satisfaction you notice that at the top of the bean chair she was sitting on, she left a patch that was slightly damp.

Does the Story Follow The Building Of The Machine?
