Chapter 6 by Kermster Kermster

Which one?

Eliminate the Barbarian

You notice the bard had caught on, while the clueless Barbarian still gawked at the spot where his rogue once existed. It almost demanded that you strike him from above. You flip into the air, leading with your newly found heavy tail, letting it steer right to where his callowness stands. The impact was beautiful, the weight hit brutally upon the man's head sending it down into the floor. With round two coming in form of the ground, which relayed an even stronger result of damage; damage which flowed into you in the form of XP. Another outpouring of delicious experience would have to be put on stand by, as where the bard once occupied was clearly empty... She had made a run for it, like the bard she is.

While you couldn't really indulge in your stats, you felt the strength in your legs propelling you at speeds that would make rogues blush, with each step thumping the ground with pleasurable sounds. You see you're prey trying desperately to leave, booking it as fast as she could possibly go, which was dwarfed in comparison to yours. You take your weight and tackle her to the nearby wall, watching as her attempt is quickly stubbed out within seconds. You watch as her body goes limp, but doesn't dissipate. You scan her face, and find that she is out cold though. Finally, that situation was over.

You find yourself a little winded after that event, but nevertheless more powerful. You needed to see your newly gained stats:

Giant Rat

Lvl: 2 -> 13

Melee Attack: 3 -> 16

Ranged Attack: 0

Special Abilities:

Diseased - 5% chance that a melee attack will deal poison damage.

New abilities:

Toxin Immunity - Ignore all non-magical toxins

Lone Hunter - Within the radius of only one enemy, increase your damage output by 15%

Continued...

A casual eleven levels just handed to you on a silver platter. Plus those new abilities are more then enticing enough to make you go after more rogues and druids; those lone wolfs might never stand a chance against me. There was still more to discover as you move to the second screen:

Growth Path:

Greater Dire Rat - Increase your strength to be on human limits

or

Wererat - Be able to hold a humanoid form for a limited period; use tools like humanoids.

Now this was more like it. A choice of increased strength, or a slight chance of stealth and the opportunity of using tools; The question is which seems more valuable?

Which do you choose?

More fun
