Deeper

You've never really explored your spawn area much, the large cavern off the side of this room being the only place you've ever really known and now that you're here, you're curious. You can't make out too much, the walls are narrow and there isn't much cover, but it's at least smooth and flat. You can't exactly get lost here.

Resolving to move a little further, curiosity and the sort of nihilistic boredom only a creature doomed to die repeatedly compelling you onward, you cross into the threshold of the next area and are immediately buffeted by a cold wind. You blink as you try and grow accustomed to this new darkness, unable to see much at first, until you're suddenly all at once aware that this is a sort of chasm with a bridge over it. This side is stone, rough-hewn and natural, yet across the way is nothing but bricks and hand-crafted pieces. You must be in some sort of connection to the deeper areas of the Vaults, which means...

As if to finish your thought, another blast of wind cuts across the bridges, starting in sections alternating back and forth, blasting across the crossing in a shear tunnel. A trap, obviously designed to throw players off into a pit, and one of the simpler traps if this is any indication. There's a sizable delay between blasts.

You'd roll across the bridge, but you're worried if you can make it across in time...Look, you're a fleshy sack, it's not like you're setting a land speed record and you can't brake that well. Yet staring at this simple trap, an idea occurs to you...You can just barely make out this bridge, there's enough light to see. Maybe if you lay in wait...
