Chapter 10

Set a trap for her 'friends'?

Bug out.

You are ever so tempted to set that trap, but you know better. You have no idea what these 'Max and Vera' characters are like, you don't even know what class they are let alone what level, though almost certainly not higher than the party leader that still puts them a level above you and that in turn means you, with most of your pack gone already, would go down, hard, and then they would take Jenna and find a way to 'De-Curse' her and restore her to 'life'.

You can't have that, with Jenna on your side you can potentially take on groups of heroes far stronger than that one you just fought: rogues work best as part of a party of similar level, and even better in pairs. You NEED the little thief you have just captured and turned, and you intend to keep her safe and with you.

Directing your two first level brethren to cut all the meat they can off the corpses, and stow it in their inventory for later, you pick Jenna up with a grunt of effort and put her over your shoulder, carrying her off into the depths of Cassowary's Crypt to find a 'secure' room that DOESN'T have a micro-boss in it, since they tend to be cranky about sharing their space, living their whole lives confined to small rooms and all.
