Chapter 2 by Speci@lty Speci@lty

Which of these guys will tell their tale?

Avery Finn

I teach college mathematics at a university close to home. I started as a new professor only about four months ago. In such a short time, my students find me to be 'strict' with my curriculum. They say I assign too many assignments, I always scold people who don't solve equations correctly, and I am already determined to get the chance to brag to my colleagues about having the smartest students on campus. Only problem is, I can't seem to motivate my students to work harder on improving their scores to get any significant notoriety. It is this ulterior motive that will eventually lead me into having one of the most embarrassing experiences in my life.

What do I do to motivate my students?
