Known spooky locales:
Abandoned Tower
This tower might once have belonged to a wizard or mage by the look of what's left of it. Much of the upper floors are gone, fallen and crumbled away, but the bottom two stories are still in relatively solid shape. Who knows what treasure left behind by the mage who built the place might still remain. Or what traps are still active protecting it.
One thing's for sure. No one puts a lock that sturdy on a cellar door without a reason. Given how rusted it is, one can only hope it was to keep the curious out, and not to keep something in.
