The Singing Isle

An earthquake cracked through her restful sleep. Thunderous crashes resonated through her dreams and made her shudder in fear. Her sleep was ending. The dreams that had lasted centuries were coming to an end. The life she thought she knew and the faces she had memorized melted before her. Images of an island filled her mind. The island had a terrible hunger and she knew she was hungry as well. Hungry for power. The island quaked and she saw the first rays of blinding light.
