Finally a release from this darkness that had surrounded her for countless years. She didn't know exactly what lie outside in the light but she knew it was better than this she had endured for so long. Her dreams in the dark had been a repeated nightmare. She had spent what felt like a lifetime in an illusion. Living a false life, with false friends, and a false family. The faces of her nightmares wanted her to fit into a life of a village woman, weak and overpowered by the authority of the nobles. They pressured her to marry a man she did not love and be a dutiful wife. she refused to see herself in that role and fought for what felt like an eternity against it. She was meant for more. If someone was going to rule, she would be the one. She fell to the floor. She coughed and gasped for fresh air and stood to her feet. It felt like an eternity since she had a lungful of air.
