Charged forward to attack what may have been in the light.

The light may have blinded her but she was not going to turn away. The light was an attack against her and she would meet it head on. She charged at the light, a guttural scream echoed around her. She felt a twinge a fear from the sound. It was a beast taking its last stand ; screaming it's final challenge at it's attackers. Her lungs burned and she tore at her throat. She was enveloped in the light and she realized the scream was her own. Her body collapsed to the cold hard ground with a thud and she gasped for air.
