Author's Note: This is the first story I've written on this website! I would have started out by adding chapters onto someone else's story, but I'm a little shy to do that now... but feel free to submit your own chapters to this one! My only condition is NO , PLEASE. There's enough of that on this site, and if that's what you want, you can get it elsewhere. If a submission includes any reference to , I will reject it.

Wow! It's another "magical phone app that can manipulate reality" story! This one works on the personal level.

When you find the app and open it for the first time, you see the following explanation:

Everyone follows rules. From law-abiding citizens, to anarchists, to feral children in the woods, every person on the planet lives by a set of rules that is unique to them. As long as humanity has existed, these personal rulesets have been hidden, unreadable and unchangeable. That is, until now.

This app allows you to access the personal rulesets of every person on the planet, and to edit them as you please. When you edit a person's rulesets, for example, by adding a rule, that person's future behavior will change to conform to the rule. You can also remove rules, edit a person's personal information, and alter their role in society.

For now, you are the only person with access to this app, but that may change going forward! All depends on how you decide to use this new power.

You read this description over and over, thinking the usual things: "What? This must be a joke! There's no way an app can change people like that!" Et cetera. But you soon decide to cut to the chase and use it yourself.
