"I'm afraid none have answered the call, your holiness." The scribe said, holding the bundle of scrolls that would represent even more rejection from the Orders that were supposedly meant to be the guardians of the weak.
Something they did a good job of within their borders but with none agreeing to take upon the new frontier...
"Then I will do what I must. Summon the Council." The Arch-priestess said, pulling out the parchment she had prepared. She cursed herself for waiting. A year ago this would have been a simple matter, the orders would have been crawling over one another to get ahold of the new land and its people.
The Humbling as the scholars and historians were calling it had changed that. None of them were willing to even venture outside their own borders now. The faithful couldn't wait. If the existing orders weren't willing to protect the faithful the only solution was to form a new one.
The council would make the new order official and the sacred domain would be set. However, the actual formation of a new order wasn't a simple thing. First and foremost they would need a leader. A full knight from one of the existing orders. It wouldn't do to give so much responsibility to a novice. Who to call them from?
