The Knightly Orders

Knights of the White: A less militant order this order maintains only a small realm though their knights and squires are welcome everywhere due to their devotion to caring for the sick and injured.

Order of Thorns: The order of thorns primarily resides in the central kingdoms, their knight's adroit diplomats who specialize in keeping the peace between the various quarreling kings and queens or limiting the damage when they decide to go to war. They often work with the unblessed knights of the kingdoms in their missions to protect the Devoted.

Order of Light: The order of light are guards of the sparsely populated northern realms. With so few Devoted they lack the numbers to maintain a proper army forcing their knights to operate independently, often just themselves with their squires for support.

Order of Darkness: The largest of the orders the Order of Darkness guard and patrol the western kingdoms. The populations of the plains are heavily concentrated and the roads between them require constant protection. The roving bands of bandits and monsters require them to ride out in strength at all times.

The Order of Knights of the Fabulous and Generous King Julian of The Great Kingdom of Julia: Formerly an Unblessed Order of the Kingdom of Julia they were elevated for services provided during the Scouring. They are the guardians of the Julian Empire in the south.

The Nameless Order: The Nameless Order are the direct guardians of the church. Their members guard church lands, defend important members of the priesthood on their journeys, and respond to calls of aid from the other orders. They are the smallest order. Expected to represent the best of the Blessed Orders
