Shutting down my laptop I sigh and lean back as my chair creeks. I work from home, I had never been great with people in person, they thought I was too feminine so I started doing remote contracting and consulting work. It didn't pay a whole lot but it helped pay the bills I thought looking around. Looking down at my desk I see a picture of me and my girlfriend. Well back then I guess she was just my best friend. Our relationship had always close, but recently it had been, strained a bit. Both of us graduated college together only a few months ago. As we moved inside the elevator I could tell she was tense.

"What's wrong?" I asked after she had plopped down onto our couch after taking off her shoes. "It was... a long day at work Alex" She said slowly before pausing and adding as she sat up "But I do know what would make it a better day" she added. Raising my eyebrows at how early she was asking I smiled
