The torturous punishment is too much, and you decide you can't take another spank from this flying broom! As you muster your strength to flee, you spot an opening at the bottom of one wall of hedge, and before it can swat your butt one more time you pounce in a mad dash for freedom.

The hole is just big enough for you to fit, but your tattered costume snags on a branch mid-way through. You heave a **** breath, pulling with all your might, and manage to drag yourself to the other side as you feel the wake of one last sweep breeze by your bare behind. Taking a moment to recover, you peek back through the hole, and see no sign of the broom. Clearly it could fit through the same opening, or even just fly over the top, you think. Even so, it doesn't seem to want to follow anymore.

As you get to your feet you notice your costume now hangs loosely from one shoulder, too torn to be of any practical use, as your efforts at covering yourself with it embarrassingly reveal. A cursory look at your surroundings tells you you must be in a different area of the garden than the hedge maze, as the hedges all spread out in a normal, open pattern. A tall iron-picket fence spans the far side, with only dense, dark woods beyond.

In a nearby corner you see a clothesline, and the sight of clothes drying there gives you some hope for your modesty. Before you finish taking a step toward it, however, you spot a relatively large doghouse beside it, with some big, shadowed form curled up inside. Whatever it is, it seems fast asleep, rising and falling with regular breaths.

You consider your other options, and notice a bent stake of the fence that offers some way out into the woods. But if you're going to leave, you still would prefer to leave dressed. The only way you see that happening is by taking something from the clothesline, and to do that you'd need to risk going by the doghouse...
