Yep, author’s note time.

This is going to be a point of serious branching for this story.

I know where I am going with it, and I have an idea on some other paths that I think might be enjoyable to read.

My intention is to write at least two branching stories, but I am up for reader input on others.

1- John and Kira are a scientific outlier, a unicorn so to speak. What they have just doesn’t work with anyone else, and Maria can’t figure out why. Next steps would be to try to engineer a cure from some thing from John or Kira, or from both.

John and Kira become the focus of the work for the cure, and a solution is soon found which challenges how the nation thinks of their sort of blood relation relationship.

2- John and Kira are a scientific outlier, however they cannot reproduce what is happening with Kira, so they focus on John. They find that his high protein / high sperm count overactive semen ignores birth control, and that women can become pregnant with him even when they are not normally able to. John has the ability to impregnate women outside of ovulation, the chances of that normally being close to zero.

They also find that John has impregnated his daughter, and then they quickly find out Joy is pregnant, and that pregnancy from him is what causes the new life-saving strain.

Kira’s body interacted with Johns and together they created the new strain, which he caught from her when performing oral sex on her after fucking her.

Now John has to service a lot of women, and they look for suitable men to try to also catch the new strain from Kira, and from the many women John impregnates as he helps to fight the disease with the new strand.
