Wonderfully.

At times K-T could think himself cursed, like some strange **** in the universe conspired to make sure he ended underdressed, naked or in other embarrassing or humiliating situations. And today this feeling had disappeared.

This unexpected free trip, him managing to invite his crush, going on the trip fully dressed, with a suitcase full of perfectly adequate clothes and now getting to sit next to her for the whole flight in the most comfortable plane seats he had ever experienced. This looked like a dream and if it was he hoped he would never wake from it.

Just like when they were waiting for the plane, he was free to chat with Lily.
The latest movies, TV shows, music, Mangas, video games, world events, nearly everything was ammunition in this fight to make himself seem to be a normal teenage boy and a perfectly reasonable choice for a possible boyfriend.

For maybe the first time in his life, a cute girl laughed with him and not at him and in a way that didn't involve nakedness or his genitals. As hours passed they were more comfortable with each other, shoulders pressed with each other, forearms touching on the arm rest, a delicate hand shortly resting on his left knee, and at some point during a short feat of turbulences, she grabbed his hand and kept holding it long after the flight resumed calmly.

They were almost there and suddenly an announcement was made on the PA system of the plane.

"Good afternoon passengers, this is your captain speaking. We will land in Gintonico city in the Berlewda republic in about an hour, it will be 4pm local time. If you watch on the left side of the plane you can see the five islands of the archipelago: Isla Titania, Isla Berlewda the main island, La Grande Boutica, Bolas Azures and Mojado Hendedura. Temperature on the ground is 35 degrees Celsius or 95 degrees Fahrenheit, it's sunny with a slight breeze coming from the sea. The crew and myself wish you all a nice trip in the republic. Please remain in your seats and keep your seatbelts fastened until landing."

K-T was ecstatic, even if it hadn't been put explicitly into words there clearly was a budding relationship between him and Lily, more than that nothing strange and embarrassing had happened to him at any point so far. They would soon land and enjoy two weeks that they would spend together in a marvelous hotel, at the pool or on the beach. Lily looked really happy and he was the one who had invited her here, it had to count for something, right?
