Even better than expected.

His boarding pass in hand, K-T couldn't believe his luck, his aunt Jill had requested a window seat, which had left the middle seat to Lily and the aisle seat just next to her to him. They would spend the 5 hours of the flight just next to each other and his aunt wouldn't even be next to him to ruin it for him.

Their luggage checked they went to the TSA controls and all went well. His sister and one of her friends were pestering a bit about having to throw away two bottles of some cosmetics that they had in their carry-on and were a tiny bit over the authorized limit for liquids.

They now only had to wait for their flight in front of the boarding gate. K-T had gathered during the check-in that they would be split in three groups on board. His parents somewhere, his sister and her friends in another part of the plane, and finally Lily, his aunt and himself elsewhere.

He really would have preferred to be alone with Lily and have his aunt travel with his parents, but he had heard them insist that he would need some adult supervision on flight. It was a bit harsh, especially now that he was 18, they could really stop treating him like a kid.

K-T was chatting with Lily, she only lived with her great aunt and uncle on occasion and attended another school than him and his sister. She had a lot of things to talk to him about herself, her life and the school she went to. K-T was rather limited in the range of interesting stories and anecdotes he could speak about that didn't involve him getting stripped, losing his clothes or getting humiliated, so he simply let her talk for the most part, only asking questions or talking about what fun they would have on the island. He was mostly thankful that his sister was too busy with her friends to go talk to her about his various misadventures or to share the many pictures and videos she had taken of him in such situations.

So far it was all going even better than he had planned. Soon their flight was called and they lined up to board. Because of the tickets they won in the contest they were even offered to board just after the first class passengers and would fly in business class.

K-T, having the aisle seat and trying to be a gentleman, let his aunt and Lily go sit first and now all he had to do was to sit down and enjoy 5 hours of flight with a girl that he was trying to woo.
