What's Aura?

Jaune followed the girls through the brush, eyes drifting between their assets. Weiss's exposed creamy legs, Ruby's toned tights clad legs, Pyrrha's chest, imagining the fun he could have with them. Unfortunately, the Grimm infested forest wasn't an ideal place to act on those fantasies.

He was interrupted when a branch came whipping back into his face, leaving a thin scratch on his cheek and knocking him over.

"Jaune!" He heard Pyrrha's surprised cry, as he groaned in pain. "I'm sorry!" She pulled him up.

"No worries!" He gave a thumbs up. "Just a scratch."

"Why didn't you use your aura?" She stared at him in concern.

"My what?"

"You're aura." She repeated herself more slowly.

"Gesundheit." He had no clue what she was talking about.

"Do you, know, what aura is?" She asked skeptically.

"Of course I do." His mind raced. What the hell was aura!? "Do you know what aura is?"

Pyrrha smiled indulgently, Weiss tapping her foot to the side, Ruby fidgeting around with her cape. "Aura is the manifestation of our soul. It bares our burdens and shields our hearts. Have you ever felt like you were being watched without knowing that someone was there?"

Jaune nodded. Oftentimes it was one of his sisters preparing some sort of prank for him.

"With practice, our aura can be our shield. Everyone has it, even animals. By baring your soul outward as a ****, you can deflect harm, or channel it through your equipment."

Jaune snapped his fingers. "So it's like a **** field!"

Pyrrha giggled, "Yes, if you wanna look at it that way." She placed one hand behind his head, and the other over his heart. "Now, close your eyes and concentrate."

Then Jaune felt a strange tingling all over.

"For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all. Infinite in distance and unbound by ****. I release your soul, and by my shoulder protect thee." The more she spoke the stronger the tingling became, finally ending with a surge of energy that pulsed in his body.

"Whoa", he stared down at his hands a white light pulsing around him, all aches and fatigue fading. He felt so strong now. He felt like he could take on the whole world!

Pyrrha gasped, bending over and grabbing her knees for support. "Pyrrha!?"

"It's alright!" She quickly straightened. "I used my aura to unlock yours. The energy that now protects you is your own." She smirked confidently at him. "And you have a lot of it."

"Wow..." He watched as the light around him faded before clasping his fists before him. "Now, let's really get this show on the road!"
