Waiting

You, Natalie, and Kayla wait in the booth in total silence. Every once in a while, one of you will cough, or mutter something, or clear their throat. It's pretty awkward.

You start to wonder where exactly Rainie went, and begin to consider texting her to ask about her location. Maybe she bailed to follow up on one of the responses to her pictures. That sounds a bit like the Rainie you know.

Before you can, though, you hear noises from outside. The three of you sit up straight as fences, cautious and alert. Then, in the hole in the left wall, something appears.
