Vanessa catches her

Seeing no one in the second floor hallway and the path seemingly clear from the nursery to the staircase, to the third floor and her bedroom, Lauren decided to make a run for it. She dashed out of her hiding place and as quickly as she dared she hurried down the elegant wood paneled hallway. The staircase being on the other end of the house it was a long hallway and she winced as the hard soled dolls shoes clicked and clacked against the tiled floor. She looked down at the shoes and considered stopping to remove them, but figured she only had a short distance further to go and it was therefore not worth stopping. When she looked back up she found her sister, Vanessa, standing directly in her path at the foot of the staircase she had been heading towards.

"What do we have here?" Vanessa smiled wolfishly upon seeing Lauren dressed in the absurdly juvenile lace and ruffle confection, childish tights and flat soled shoes she had put on only out of necessity. She on the other hand was elegantly attired for the occasion in a much more suitable wine colored gown that showed off her sizable assets to great advantage and wore heels. None of this what she wore was as fancy or expensive as what Lauren had started the event wearing, but given her current state of dress, she would have killed to exchange outfits with her sister.

"We've all been wondering to where you disappeared." Vanessa continued to block Lauren's path, "It isn't polite to throw an affair like this and so totally neglect your guests. I think we should remedy this immediately, what do you think?"
