Toward you

Whatever is moving through the dirt is headed in your direction, and you catch glimpses of something green where it displaces the potting soil on the way. Before you can react, though, you feel something slide over your foot, and quickly grab hold of your ankle.

You try to step away, but it holds tight, and as you look down you see multiple green tendrils snaking up through the floorboards, getting closer to your feet. You look to the angel to see her squeak with surprise and jump away, scrambling up the stool and atop the table. You're unable to get away before another tendril wraps itself around your other ankle, causing you to stumble and fall to the floor.

You land on your butt with a cry of surprise, and two more tendrils--green vine-like things--grab your wrists, rendering all your limbs restrained. One relatively large vine snakes its way up your side and over your stomach, slipping back down and pinning you to the floor. The tendrils possess a fearsome strength, and your struggles are all in vain. The angel girl watches from the table with wide eyes as you wear yourself out fighting them. You look up, panting and pleading.

"Help me!" you shout. She looks uncertain as she backs up against the piñata, biting her thumb nervously as the boards at your feet start to make a creaking noise.

They soon crack and break away as an even larger, bulbous vine breaks through, its oversized bud of a head rearing up and drooling slime from its tip. The head slowly blossoms, revealing an inverse face of flowery purple flesh, and the tiny wriggling feelers within.

"Hurry!" you scream to the other girl, and yet still she hesitates.
