To a lonesome hut in the swamp.

Gilly pushed herself onward. But the ground got more and more muddy and untrustworthy the further she went. She climbed through puddles and ponds, more stumbling and crawling than walking. After what felt like two or maybe three hours, she knew that she was most certainly much deeper in the Mist swamp than before. The shadows of the trees started to lengthen as night fell. Around her the monotonous sounds of mosquitoes, the croaking of toads and the occasional lonely cry of birds.

Then she saw a light ahead.

Gilly first thought it was a hallucination, stumbling forward through bogs and mud towards the light. She stopped abruptly as it occurred to her that this could well be another swamp monster or swamp plant, luring naive prey. She sank to her knees and studied the light. Wasn't there the silhouette of a small house? Gilly sighed. What choice did she have? Maybe there was help there. If there wasn't, she hoped for a quick **** instead of starving to **** or drowning in the big swamp.

Exhausted, she walked on. Soon, the light turned out to be a trio of lamps lighting up a small hut with a thatched roof. There was even a small garden with flowers and herbs right in front of the hut. No monster would grow flowers, right? Cautiously, Gilly took a few more steps.

The hut's door opened. There was a young woman in the doorframe, holding a lamp. She had black hair, her clothes were made of brown leather, but looked neat and tidy.

"You make enough noise for an army," the young woman said loudly as Gilly approached. "No one ever taught you to hunt properly?" Then her eyes narrowed and she seemed to look startled for a moment. "You're no hunter and no herb collector," she stated. "Stars and Stones, you don't look as if you have any business here at all in the swamp. Lost?"

Gilly stumbled her last steps towards the hut, which was built on hard ground. For the first time in hours, she felt hard earthen ground beneath her feet. She opened her mouth to answer and realized just how tired she was. There were black spots in front of her eyes, and everything around her started to spin.

"Help...!" she mumbled and then collapsed.
