The hose

"We could fill it with water from that hose," you say, pointing out the faucet.

The angel looks over, eyebrows raised. "It would make the thing a bitch to lift..." Her eyes then turn to you, a spark of mischief in them. "But when it bursts..." She cackles around her lollipop, moving for the hose. "Good enough for me!"

She hands the end of the hose to you, gesturing to the stool. "Put it in, I'll turn it on." You follow her direction, climbing up and dropping the hose into the piñata. The faucet squeaks as she turns it, and soon water is flooding the pumpkin, soaking the candy. A waste, but who cares.

Soon enough it's all floating, and the water's about a foot deep. "Looks good!" you call out. The water slows to a trickle as you hear the faucet squeak behind you, and you start to pull the hose out.

When it appears off, and you have the end pulled up out of the piñata, the water suddenly sprays out at full **** again, splashing over you and drenching your costume. You cry out in a sputtering protest before it finally stops, leaving you soaked to the skin.

"Oh-ho my god! My bad!" the angel says with poorly suppressed laughter. You toss the hose down in her direction as you wipe your face dry--or a relative approximation of it, at least. The rest of you is still dripping, pink dress clinging to your skin, the neckline sagging past decency as the fabric becomes transparent enough to make out the outline of your underwear.

As you step down and turn around, slack-jawed and still gasping, the angel girl is standing with her hands over her mouth, eyes bright and wide as she sees your costume. There looks to be a smile behind those hands, though, for all the guilt she expresses.

"I'm so sorry!" she says, extending her hands hesitantly. "I'll just... get the piñata up, and I'll help you dry off." She then goes over to put a lid on the pumpkin and hook it to a rope hanging from a hatch in the ceiling, while you stand there dripping.
