The Test and the Offer

Huginn and Muninn led You into the office, where Corvus sat in his lounging area, sipping from a fancy mug, humming to himself, "Ah Mr. Drake." He said standing and Bowing respectfully, "Would You care to join me for Breakfast?" Corvus gestured to the table, where a Silver Ewer sat... and You knew just what was in it, Your hands clenched as the scent met your nostrils.

From the shadows, the tall muscular form of Hawkins appeared, his eyes glowing in the dark, His signature grim look on his strong face, "Ah Ah." Corvus said to him, halting the large Vampire "No need for that My friend..." Hawkins stepped back into the shadows silently, his Red eyes still being visible, "Come, sit."

You approached the table, being careful to hold back the scratching want in the back of your mind. Sitting down opposite the old man, He brandished another mug with a smile, carefully placing it in front of You and gently grasping at the Ewer's handle, Huginn and Muninn watched on, seemingly in awe as Corvus slowly poured, You watched eagerly as the Crimson Liquid filled the small mug, Corvus filled it to its brim and set down the ewer, "Now, I would like to make You an offer..." You looked at him, Your body quaking as He spoke in his Honeyed English tone "If You can take and drink everything there... then I will tell You whether or not Your sister is alive, How does that sound, do we have a deal?"

This was not the man that You had met yesterday, not the tame olf man that had been friendly, the way He sat, the way He spoke, it was like he had the voice of the devil "Is this a test, is that Pig blood or something?" You asked, Your voice quivering as the Blood's sweet draw cast its spell on you, Corvus gave you a sad smile "We are not the Cullen's Son, We are Hunters, killers, and that cup right there is what will sustain You for the next of Your immortal life, Vampires are greed, We are gluttony incarnate, Take what is rightfully Yours, just as Mortals do themselves. Now, I will only ask once more, do we have a deal?"

You nodded weakly, You had to know, You had to know if she was safe... "Deal." You said, looking at him with Hard, monstrous eyes "Very well, Go ahead." spoke Corvus, sitting back and watching patiently for You to make Your move.

With shaking hands, under the watchful eyes of the Vampires around you, You slowly reached down to the cup, gently grasping at the handle of the small cup and carefully going to lift it to Your lips... however, Corvus' words began to ring in Your mind "Greed, Gluttony Incarnate?"

With hungry eyes, You looked over the two items... The Small cup that sat in Your hand and the Ewer, _Gluttony incarnate? _The echo of his voice became clearer and clearer, finally all resonating as You found Yourself tipping the cup's contents back into the Ewer...

All of them seemed to stir as You grabbed the Ewer with both hands and pressed its wide mouth against Yours, You drained that Ewer, You drank and drained it like a madman, the tidal wave of Utter Euphoria making Your eyes roll into the back of your head.

You drank until the last drop, setting the empty Ewer on the table in front of the Old man, who looked a little flabbergasted.

"He did it... He actually did it" Huginn said, clutching the sides of his head, his face twisting with a horrid joy, "5 pints, in 47 seconds..." Muninn mumbled, her eyes wide, Corvus seemed fascinated, though unlike the others He managed to contain his Hysteria, "Boss, He is... He has to be..." Corvus raised a hand, stopping Muninn in her tracks.

Corvus eyed You, drumming his hands on the coffee table between You, He brandished a white smile under his white mustache "She's fine, perfectly safe, She's been held up at Your grandfather's estate, Valerica hasn't made any moves on her, at least not yet." Acting on the burning surge of life that all of that blood gave You, You stood from Your chair, "She's with Grandpa, I need to see Her, now."

Huginn approached You, Placing a hand on Your chest "You can't leave yet, The Hotel is the Heart of the Gerix, Valerica is forbidden to conduct her business on clan grounds." Your body felt hot, like a furnace, You had so much energy, so much coal to fuel the fire "Enough Muninn, let him go."

Corvus stood up to face You, "Apart from that little test, I had one more, very important thing I wished to discuss." rolling Your eyes, You crossed Your arms "Is that so, More ominous Answers?" The Old man smiled "Actually I was going to ask whether You wanted to leave or not?" Your ears pricked up, "Y-You would just let me go?"

"You are not a **** Charlie, I have been doing my best to keep You safe from Valerica, not keep You prisoner." You watched quietly as He walked around to touch Your shoulder reassuringly "Our kind are so easily subject to savagery, but that is not what We have to be, We can be so much more, grow to be so much more," the others had this expectant look like You were about to receive an offer that You couldn't refuse, and of course You certainly read the room right "As Head of our Coven and Lord of the Gerix clan, I extend an official invitation to join us." You stood for a moment, unsure of how to say "Don't worry old boy," Corvus said, smiling and patting Your shoulder "Go, give it some thought, tomorrow, We can reconvene then?"

Corvus extended a hand, which You shook, before being led off by Muninn, who took You by the arm and led You out into the corridor... where a familiar red-haired woman waited with an expectant look waiting for You.
