Note: The following story takes place between Chapter Thirteen and Chapter Fourteen of The Redwater Chronicles, so some minor references to details from the first half of that story may be present in this story.
A young adult of twenty-one years old made his way into the RT Coffee Lounge that morning on his way back home. "She's about to go off to college. I didn't want her to miss out on those experiences cos of me, so when summer break came along, we agreed to break up. At least this way she has some time to get used to being single again and not hung up on moi." Brittaney explained.

"The same way you wouldn't let anything happen to us." Eve finished.
"I love all of you too," Kelsey said with a smile.
“That really happened to Kelsey?” Eddie said to Tommy as he finished telling the young teen about everything Kelsey had told him last night.
“All of it and I can understand why she wanted to keep it a secret but I thought we were at that point where we knew everything about each other,” Tommy admitted.
“Don’t do that, man. Don’t go doubting her love for you or yours for her,” Eddie responded. “She would have told you when she was ready.”
“So, what do you think I should do? I mean, I can’t let this Garfield guy get her but I don’t want her to think I’m being some overbearing, protective boyfriend...” Tommy told him.
“Can’t her Dad help? He’s a cop, isn’t he?” Eddie suggested.
“She doesn’t want to get him involved, says Garfield has too many connections,” Tommy informed him.
“Well, if this was the old days, I wouldn’t mind gathering some guys and heading off to teach this Garfield guy a lesson for you...” Eddie told him.
“But those days are over.” Tommy finished for him.
“Exactly,” Eddie agreed. “Look I get it, all we ever want to do is protect the ones we love. Trust me when I say I understand that better than most which is why you have to do what you feel is right. Protect her but be honest about it.”
“Don’t go behind her back.” Tommy realised what Eddie was telling him.
“Kelsey loves you, she’ll understand what you’re trying to do and she’ll appreciate it,” Eddie explained.
“I know, man and thanks for this,” Tommy told him. “I just can’t lose her.”
“You really love her, don’t you?” Eddie replied.
“Yeah, I do.” Tommy nodded in agreement. “I love her, I love them all.”
Brittaney sat down at her desk in Grayson Global that morning and turned on her computer to start her work. It was while the screen loaded, Brittaney heard the sounds of footsteps and surprisingly found her boss, Ciara Weston’s new secretary, Jenny Marshall arriving with Garfield Goode, the man who Kelsey had told her about.
“Miss Marshall, so nice to see you again.” Brittaney greeted the personal assistant.
“Please call me, Jenny. I think we can leave the Miss part for Miss Weston.” Jenny responded.
“Of course.” Brittaney giggled.
“Ahem!” Garfield cleared his throat causing the two women to remember that he was there.
“Oh right, I almost forgot,” Jenny quickly spoke. “Brittaney, this is Garfield Goode. He’s on the board and is in town for a few days and decided to check out the company.”
“Nice to meet, Brittaney,” Garfield said almost eye-fucking Brittaney as he looked at her.
“You too.” Brittaney coldly said, not wanting to give the man the time of day due to what he did to her best friend but knowing she had to be polite if she wanted to keep her job, she tried hard to keep her tone in check.
“I was just saying to Jenny on our way down here, Grayson Global is doing some rather impressive work,” Garfield told her. “But then it comes down to the marketing team to really ensure that the company makes a profit.”
“Well, we have an incredible marketing team,” Jenny told him.
“Miss Marshall, could I have a quick word?” The voice of one of Brittaney’s colleagues interrupted the group.
“Excuse me for a moment,” Jenny told the pair before stepping away to speak to Brittaney’s colleague and leaving Brittaney and Garfield alone.
“You should smile more,” Garfield commented.
“I should smile more at the man that almost ruined my best friend's life...” Brittaney said with a slight rise in her voice since she didn’t want to make a scene.
“Is that what she told you?” Garfield said in disbelief. “That I was some monster. If I remember correctly it didn’t take much to convince her to do anything I asked.”
“What do you want?” Brittaney said in disgust.
“Kelsey. I want Kelsey,” Garfield answered. “So convince her to come back to me or else, you and your friends will suffer..”
Despite all the fun that he had last night, Barney had found himself returning back to his family home for the night so that he could at least get some sleep, something that he didn’t think he would get after the love admission sparked another round of lovemaking for him and his friends.
Barney left his bedroom that morning and made his way downstairs and into the kitchen where he found his mother and father in a discussion that seemed to quieten once they noticed that Barney had shown up in the kitchen. Not one to like things being hidden from him Barney decided to speak up.
“Don’t let me stop you, I’m not a child anymore...” Barney told his parents.
“Of course not but I think I’ll leave this one to your father,” Shantel told her eldest son. “Besides I have to go open the store,” Shantel added before getting up from her seat at the island to give her husband a kiss and her son a hug before walking out of the kitchen.
“So...” Barney said expectedly.
“I was just talking to your mother about selling the company,” Jeremiah explained.
“What? Dad? That’s ridiculous! You’ve worked at that company since you were sixteen! You’ve worked there so long you convinced Bernard Morgan to add your name to the company when they wanted to rebrand it!” Barney responded.
“I know that but with Alistair's condition getting worse every day and with you and the twins wanting your own careers, there isn't much left for me there," Jeremiah explained. "Alistair already sold his shares to me and Ciara Weston has made me a more than generous offer..."
"So what now? If you sell the company, what are you going to do?" Barney wondered.
"Retire. Spend some much needed time with your mother..." Jeremiah informed him.
"Can't fault you there," Barney nodded. "I can't stop you, Dad. Just do what you feel is right."
"I am and I'm happy to do it because I know you and the twins will be able to stand on your own and I'm proud of you all for that," Jeremiah told his son.
"Thanks, Dad," Barney said as he hugged his father.
Eve walked into RT Coffee Lounge that afternoon, making her way to the counter where she ordered herself a coffee, paid and made her way over to a table where she took a seat and after waiting for a few minutes she was joined by a familiar face of Grace O’Hara, a friend of hers from her job as a model. Grace O'Hara was a petite young woman with blonde hair and green eyes who wore a floral patterned dress that highlighted her C-cup breasts and toned ass.
“You weren’t kidding when you said Redwater would be a good place to unwind,” Grace said with a smile as the two models hugged.
“It is if you’re not from here, I spend most of my time catching up with people I’ve known for years.” Eve responded.
“Still you have to admit, it is slower than Rayton City.” Grace told her.
“Alright, I’ll give you that.” Eve agreed.
“I heard you got booked for the Ibiza shoot.” Grace mentioned.
“Yeah, Sports Illustrated got me working with a few girls for a cover,” Eve informed her. “You?”
“After my trip here, I’m back in Rayton City, Vogue has some shoots lined up for me,” Grace told her. “But enough chit chat, something tells me you didn’t just call me over to talk work...”
“I wanted to know more about someone in Rayton City and I figured since you’ve been in the business in Rayton City longer and having grown up there, you’d be able to help.” Eve explained.
“So, who is it?” Grace asked.
“Garfield Goode.” Eve revealed, causing Grace’s face to turn pale.
“Tell me you haven’t gotten an invite to his place,” Grace asked worriedly.
“No.” Eve shook her head.
“Good cos Garfield is someone you should stay away from,” Grace told her. “He’s the biggest slimeball in the business and he’s the slimeball the others come to. His place is a constant orgy, he has girls in the business or failed to get in, doped up and waltzing in and out of the place and he has no problem pimping them out or selling them off...”
“Then why has no one had him arrested?” Eve questioned.
“He’s a big name and a lot of girls are afraid to come forward,” Grace told her. “For some of them who haven’t made it yet or are just getting started it’d be career suicide,” Grace added. “Just take my advice and stay away from him.”
Garfield Goode stepped into the Redwater Times building and took a quick glance around, especially at the articles on display on the walls. It was while he was still looking at the walls that he heard the sound of a door closing and turned to see Dinah and John exiting from the office.
“Oh, hi, can I help you?’ Dinah greeted Garfield in surprise and slightly confused since she wasn’t expecting anyone.
“I’m Garfield Goode, I was looking for Kelsey.” Garfield told the reporter.
“Kelsey? She’s not here right now,” Dinah revealed. “She’s out working.”
“Right, of course,” Garfield nodded.
“And can we help you since you are asking about our daughter?” John questioned the man suspiciously. “Is she in trouble?’
“No, we’re just old friends, I was hoping I could catch up with her.” Garfield lied.
“Old friends? Kelsey never mentioned knowing someone so much older than her.” John coldly spoke.
“We met a few years back in Rayton City through a mutual friend and kept in touch.” Garfield lied.
“Well, if you’d like you’re more than welcome to sit and wait, though I can’t guarantee when she’ll be back.” Dinah told the older man.
“No thanks,” Garfield shook his head. “I have somewhere else to be but do let her know I dropped by.”
Barney made his way into the Silver Dragon Restaurant that evening and found his friends already sitting around a table talking amongst themselves. Making his way over to them, the group got out of their seats greeting him with each girl giving him a kiss on the lips and Tommy giving his old friend a hug before they all took a seat.
“So Barney, you disappeared on us last night. Have you changed your mind about whether or not you want to move in with us yet?” Kelsey asked the young adult.
“I’ve been giving it a lot of thought... And don’t get me wrong when I say this, I love you all...” Barney explained. “I really do...”
“We love you too.” Brittaney said in response and the others nodded their agreements.
“It just feels like I’m jumping in and taking from you,” Barney said while looking over at Tommy. “The four of you have been together since college and I know it’s my fault since I chose to move away for college but you four are already a couple. Everyone can see that even if Tommy and Kelsey are the only official ones and I can’t get in the middle of that.”
“Yes, you can.” Eve sternly told him.
“Eve’s right. Three years away doesn’t change the fact that we’ve been friends since we were three years old and that we love you just as much as each other. You are a part of us and this relationship.” Tommy told him.
“Without you, something will always be missing,” Kelsey added.
“Are you guys sure about this?” Barney asked. “Being a fivesome? It’ll be a lot of work, there’s a lot of different people in this thing and it’ll be hard to figure things out and keep everyone happy.”
“We’ll make it work,” Tommy reassured him.
“Guess we should make it official, then,” Eve said happily.
“And I know just how...” Kelsey said with a grin on her face.
It was late at night when Kelsey woke up in the bed and she spent the first few minutes staring in awe at the people she loved, still fast asleep. Unable to stay watching for longer since she knew she would never leave, Kelsey climbed out of bed, made her way over to the bathroom where she had a quick shower before getting dressed and stepped outside onto the front porch where she found Garfield waiting for her.
“Lemme guess, Mommy and Daddy sent my regards...” Garfield smiled.
“You went to my parents! To Brittaney’s place of work!” Kelsey said in anger. “All of this just to get me to come with you.”
“And I won’t stop until you’re by my side,” Garfield told her. “Where you belong.”
“Fine then,” Kelsey spat. “I’ll come with you, just don’t hurt or threaten my friends or family.”
Tommy made his way across the kitchen, making sure the omelettes that he was cooking for breakfast weren't about to burn. It was while he was doing so, Brittaney, Barney and Eve made their way into the kitchen to help.
"You got up early." Brittaney said to Tommy as she gave him a soft kiss.
'Well someone had to make breakfast while you three hogged the shower." Tommy playfully fired back at them.
"Shower sex is fun," Eve shrugged. "You should have joined us."
"As much as I would have liked to, for that we would need a bigger shower." Tommy reminded them.
"Add that to the list of renovations along with the master bedroom." Brittaney laughed.
"But at least that way we'll have more space." Barney told them.
"Speaking of space, where is Kelsey?" Eve wondered. "I'm sure she would have a list for what she'd like renovated here."
"To be honest, I'm pretty sure she was up before me," Tommy informed them. "I thought she'd be with you three in the shower."
"She wasn't and she wasn't in bed when we woke up and you were still fast asleep." Brittaney revealed.
"Let me give her a call." Tommy responded by grabbing his phone, unlocking it only to see a text message from their group chat waiting for him.
"What is it?" Eve said, noticing the worried look that grew on Tommy's face.
"Our group chat... Kelsey..." Tommy muttered causing everyone to take out their phones.
"I'm sorry, this was the only way." Barney read out Kelsey's message.
"You don't think she..." Brittaney said as she thought to Garfield.
"I'm ringing her." Eve said, shaking her head and dialling Kelsey's number causing a loud ringtone belonging to Kelsey's phone to echo across the house and the four individuals to find it on the coffee table in the living room.
"She left her phone... That's not a good sign." Barney said his thoughts out loud.
"Garfield has her which means we have to find her," Tommy told them. "Before it's too late..."
"Thank you for coming here on short notice." Tommy greeted Peter Grayson, Eddie and Alex Thorne.
"Of course, man," Peter responded. "Kelsey's my friend."
"And we help our friends, no matter what." Eddie added.
"Glad to hear that," Tommy said, relieved. "Please tell me you guys have something."
"Nothing yet. Ryan's put a bounty out on the streets for any information regarding Kelsey or Garfield." Peter told the young adult.
"My street contacts have come up with nothing either but I'll continue to put the pressure on until we get something." Eddie informed Tommy.
"I've got eyes and facial rec I borrowed from Rayton City PD searching for her." Alex added.
"Eddie and I will cover some of the streets. At least that way we're ahead on some fronts although I'd like to have a lot more eyes everywhere." Peter admitted.
"One of the downsides of no longer having the Quadrant," Eddie reminded him before looking at Tommy and seeing the worried look on his face. "Relax buddy, we'll find her."
"I know, I know..." Tommy sighed.
"Besides Kelsey's tough," Peter added. 'She can handle someone like Garfield."
Kelsey **** herself out of the car and stared at the large mansion before her. A mansion she knew all too well and how it held several bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms, a large hall, a rec room, parlour, pantry, billiards room, a room that contained a pool and hot tub as well as a home office.
Following Garfield inside, Kelsey was surprised to see the mansion empty with the parade of girls that were usually there gone but the remnants of the parties that were once held there were still evident through cups, bottles of **** and a few pills as well as other **** scattered around.
"This place has seen better days." Kelsey commented.
"It has. A private Investigator from Redwater has been making life difficult for me. She's built an air-tight case that my lawyers think I won't be able to weasel my way out of..." Garfield informed her.
"Karma's a bitch, isn't it?" Kelsey smirked.
"Not exactly. I still have a little time. I can still make it to a country where they will never be able to get to me. I hear Thundering Island is a good place to escape to," Garfield explained. "It may be the fresh start I need."
"So why do you need me?" Kelsey questioned.
"Because you darling are the one thing I'll miss. All my life, I've never met someone like you and I want you by my side as I start over," Garfield told her. "Now wait as I grab a few things before we head over to the airport."
Brittaney and Eve made their way into the McNamara family home where they looked into the living room to find Kelsey's mother, Dinah talking to a couple, the pair recognised as Kelsey and Brittaney’s grandparents, Benjamin and Peyton McNamara. Benjamin McNamara is a tall man with brown hair that is now grey and green eyes with a slim build to him and wore a shirt and trousers. Peyton McNamara had curly blonde hair that was greying and blue eyes with large breasts and a nice, toned ass and she wore a sweater with a pair of trousers.
"Brittaney? Eve?" Dinah said in confusion upon seeing the couple and getting up from her seat to give them a hug. "I wasn't expecting you both."
"Well, we weren't planning on coming but we were looking for Kelsey. We thought she might be here." Eve explained while Brittaney greeted her maternal grandparents.
"Why would you be looking for Kelsey? I hear she lives with you all..." Benjamin questioned.
"Benjamin !" Peyton exclaimed at her husband.
"It's okay Grandma Peyton, it's an excellent question," Brittaney smiled before adding on. "She left her phone at home and since she said she was planning on stopping here at some point today..."
"We thought she might be here already." Eve finished off the lie.
"Well, she did say she was coming on by and we were going to have a quick word about her inviting her lovers to dinner..." Peyton commented.
"Peyton!" Dinah said shocked.
"Come on! We all know they're all a couple." Peyton shrugged.
"Girls, I apologise for my mother in law but I'll also let you know if Kelsey drops by." Dinah told her eldest daughter's partners.
"Thank you, Mrs McNamara." Eve said with a smile.
"It's Dinah you two," Dinah responded. "Don't forget it."
"Bro, you need to slow down. We'll find her." Jerome tried to reassure his older brother as the two brothers searched the floor of the hotel Garfield had been staying in.
"I know, I know," Barney shook his head. "I just... I just don't know what I'd do if something happened to her."
"You really love her, don't you?" Jerome realised.
"I love them all. The three years of college I was away were hell because I couldn't see them as often as I liked... It killed me... And if I lose one of them now after getting them after so long..." Barney explained.
"You won't, okay?" Jerome told him. "Everyone is looking for her and we will find Kelsey." Jerome added only to be interrupted by the sounds of Barney's phone ringing.
"Tommy, tell me you have something!" Barney answered the phone. "Really? Thank God!" Barney exclaimed in relief. "I'm on my way!" Barney told him before hanging up the phone.
"That sounded good." Jerome commented.
"Tommy just called. Peter got a call from Melody Grayson who found her. She's at Garfield's place in Rayton City," Barney informed him. "They're already on their way."
"Then what are you waiting for? Go! I can find my own way back home." Jerome reminded his brother.
"Thanks, bro." Barney said with a smile before hurriedly exiting the building.
Kelsey sat in the car quietly watching as the city buildings slowly blended into open roads until finally Garfield parked them in a private airfield where they found a private plane and several crew members already waiting.
Following Garfield out of the car, Kelsey watched as the crew began to take out their luggage and began loading it onto the plane. Smiling at Kelsey, Garfield stood beside her and took her hand into his.
"Our new start begins soon..." Garfield commented.
"I don't... My passport..." Kelsey said in confusion while staring at the private plane.
"I got it covered," Garfield grinned as held up a clear pouch with passports in it. "New identities, new lives." Garfield told her calmly before adding. "Now it's time to leave this place forever."
"Forever is quite a long time and it seems like that is how long you'll be waiting!" A voice called out as a woman as she stepped out of the plane. The woman had long blonde hair and green eyes with large breasts and a toned ass highlighted by the t-shirt and a pair of jeans as well as high heels.
"Melody..." Kelsey said in surprise upon seeing Peter Grayson's older half-sister, Melody Grayson there as several Rayton City Police cars raced onto the airfield.
"Garfield Goode, I've spent the last few months waiting for this moment." Melody said with a smile.
"So, I've heard..." Garfield commented only to be distracted by the sounds of another car approaching and its doors opening to reveal Kelsey's lovers and friends.
"Kelsey!" They shouted, causing Kelsey to push past them and rush over to hug them. "I can't believe... How did you guys..."
"Our friends." Tommy told her.
"They're pretty resourceful and the second Melody saw you..." Eve told her.
"I'm sorry, guys," Kelsey began to cry. "Garfield threatened you all if I didn't come with him and if something happened..."
"Nothing will ever happen to us..." Brittaney reassured her.
"And nothing will get in the way either..." Barney agreed as they looked over at Garfield who was being placed in handcuffs.
"Can we go home?" Kelsey asked her significant others.
"Of course," Tommy agreed. "There's no other place I'd rather be."
“Hey, you might wanna keep an eye on that before it burns!” Heidi called out to her older brother as he became distracted by the sight of Barney cuddling up to Kelsey, something that would have made a normal person jealous but seeing two people he loved and who he knew loved him together just made Tommy happier.
“Sorry sis,” Tommy apologised.
“You better be sorry, I can’t have my meat getting all burnt.” Heidi grumbled.
“Phrasing, you might want to work on that little sis,” Hollie said as she and Asa approached Tommy who was working the grill that afternoon as the McNamara and O’Reilly family consisting of Benjamin, Peyton, John, Dinah, Troy, Caitlin, Hollie, Asa, Heidi and Tommy and his significant others all enjoyed each other's company.
“Shut up!” Heidi fired back at her sister.
“You know what, you want to criticise me, you can keep an eye on the grill,” Tommy told his sisters, handing them the tongs and making his way over to the foldaway table that had been brought out to hold food and drinks.
Tommy grabbed himself a beer and sat himself down in front of the firepit and it was while he stared at the open flames and relaxed he felt a pair of hands on his shoulders and he looked up to see Kelsey standing above him and she leaned in to give him a kiss.
“This is nice.” Tommy commented.
“It is,” Barney agreed as he, Eve and Brittaney also joined them. “Can we keep things like this?”
“I’m with him on that one, let Peter have all the drama…” Brittaney agreed, thinking to their friend who usually found himself in trouble.
“If only life worked that way, huh?” Eve reminded them. “A relationship involving five people, drama will definitely be occurring.”
“Then let's keep it to a minimum, huh?” Kelsey suggested.
“A minimum? With you, the temptress?” Barney said sarcastically.
“Hey Tommy! Hollie’s burning the chicken!” Heidi called out.
“Duty calls, mister…” Brittaney teased her boyfriend.
“Can’t either of your Dads help?” Tommy asked Kelsey and Brittaney.
“I believe they said something about leaving it to the young ones now.” Kelsey reminded him.
“I believe that means all of us, which means you can help.” Tommy said, forcing the others to follow him.
“I don’t think that grill needs five people watching over it.” Eve sarcastically said out loud.
“I got a joke,” Barney told them. “How many guys does it take to work a barbecue…”
“Oh my God!” Kelsey groaned. “Seriously?”
