The Dryer

Near the door, a petite blond dorm mate was pulling items out of a dryer. I quickly gathered up and donned my robe, and then I stood up, catching my balance slightly as a bit of dizziness remained. As I continued to watch, she seemed oblivious to my presence, yet that seemed impossible given that anyone entering the laundry room would have had a clear view of my position, and my nakedness and sexual gyrations would have been unmistakable. An uneasy realization swept over me. She must have seen me. Is she pretending she didn't? Once again, I faced a dilemma over how to react to someone witnessing another person's orgasm. Given how my roommate had reacted, I decided it was best to come clean to this other girl as well.

Cautiously I approached, watching as she alternated between poking her head into the dryer and rummaging through her small basket of items. All she wore was a loose-fitting pink sleep shirt that ended a few inches below her crotch. When I neared, she appeared startled. She turned toward me and squinted. "Oh hi! I'm usually the only one down here this early."

I still wasn't sure how much she'd seen, but at least she didn't seem upset with me. Yet it seemed that an explanation was in order. What should I say? I watched as she continued rifling through her small basket of garments, which I now noticed to consist mostly of bras and a few panties.

"Could...could you help me?" she interrupted. "I don't have my contacts, and everything is blurry." As she rubbed her eyes and continued to squint, it was evident that she had trouble focusing. "Could you please check if I got everything out of the dryer?"

"Sure, I'd be happy to help," I exclaimed, and then proceeded to poke my head into the large front-loading dryer. Surveying the shiny inner drum, I saw nothing around the bottom where the clothing should be. "I don't see anything," my voice echoed. Before pulling my head out I decided to look upward and noticed a small piece of fabric caught on a lip between the front seal and the drum. "Wait! Here's something," I announced, pulling the wadded-up item free. A slight tug began to unroll it, revealing it was two tiny triangles of pink cloth with thin black lacy straps connecting the corners. I turned and presented it to her. "Are you missing a thong?"

"Um...yes, that's it," she blurted out. "Thank you so much! I was worried I'd lost it." Then she grabbed it, stuffed it into her basket and scurried out. Immediately, there was a crash in the hall and accompanying shriek. As I rushed to the door, I saw the blond girl prone on the floor. It appeared she had tripped on the slightly raised flooring transition between the hallway carpet and laundry room tile. After she lifted her hips into a crawling position, she frantically began retrieving all the undergarments that had flown from her basket. All the while, she was unaware that her sleep shirt had ridden up over her butt, revealing that she was pantyless. Slinking behind the corner, my eyes stayed glued upon the exposed portion of her lithe figure until she had recovered her last item. When she finally stood up, she had no idea that I'd been watching her from just a few feet away. I briefly listened to see if she might trip again, but the opening and closing sound of the elevator indicated that she'd safely left this floor.

Afterward, I transferred my wash loads to the now empty dryer, and returned the other loads to the original washers. While I waited for the dryer to complete, other girls began to enter the room to retrieve or switch their laundry. As I waited for the dryer to finish, I began to wonder.
