Chapter 61 by saktongmanyak saktongmanyak

What happens next?

Tanya starts to believe

The three of you, Cassie, and Stella, explained to Tanya that you are the lucky owner of a magical app called the Affection Multiplier. You explained to her what it was, what it does, all the traits you’ve bought so far and plan to buy. She listened with skepticism, as one would, when you laid the groundwork to properly explain it to someone.

As for making her believe that it’s real, revealing that you bought a trait called ‘Magic Touch’ made it easier for her to cope with the idea of a magical app, but it was essentially ‘Normalized ****’ that did all the heavy lifting in terms of making her believe that there really is magic afoot.

Tanya realized it is weird that she only accepts you as someone who can have a romantic relationship with their daughter, or maybe even any other family member of yours, as normal. Cassie also revealed to you that she figured that you did buy a trait like that, after Stella professed her feelings for you when they were talking last night at the convenience store.

Thankfully, Stella convinced Tanya that she’s been having thoughts about you way before you bought the trait, and that the trait itself was a blessing so that she could act on her feelings without feeling bad about herself. Tanya accepted that buying the trait was worth it, if it allowed Stella peace of mind, and prevented you from causing her any further suffering with her previously taboo attraction towards you.

Now that everyone’s up to speed on your magical app, including the fact that you’ve been saving up to buy the ‘Normalized Polyamory’ Trait, as well as the fact that you originally bought the ‘Normalized ****’ trait to have a shot at your cousin Celeste, the four of you are now discussing if everyone is okay with you pursuing that further.

“As the person who said he should just go buy the trait in the first place, you guys know my opinion on this already. I want Jay to be free to explore those feelings for her, the same way Stella was okay with us exploring our feelings for each other.” Cassie states.

“Admittedly, I have a debt of gratitude to my dad’s attraction to Aunt Celeste. So even if I think I’m the one most prone to jealousy, I don’t think I can say no to him exploring those feelings.” Stella adds.

“I guess that's the majority then.” Tanya states.

“It should be unanimous or I won't go through with it. I want to hear what you think Tanya.” you tell her.

Tanya sighs, phrasing her opinion in her head before speaking. “I want you to be happy. All three of us do; and from what Cassie told me last night, she’s had a crush on you since she was a kid, and it seems like you have that same kind of crush on your cousin that Cassie had on you.” Tanya starts.

“But…” You say, knowing that what she said wasn’t her entire opinion.

“But I feel like we’re allowing you to just have sex with whoever you want without really wanting to be in a relationship with them.” Tanya adds.

“Why would you think that? If his feelings for her are similar to what I felt—” Cassie asks, confused at Tanya’s remark; but Tanya doesn’t let her finish the thought, as she wants to clear her intent as quickly as possible.

“She’s only here for the weekend and lives on the opposite side of the country. Are you planning to have a long distance relationship with her if she does become attracted to you?” Tanya asks you, and you obviously don’t have a clear plan so you can’t answer her question.

“Even if you’re both willing for the long distance thing, do you think it would be fair to her that she can only be with you but you have three other girlfriends to keep you company while you guys are separated?” Tanya adds. You obviously don’t think it would be fair, but you still remain silent as Tanya can gather your answer from your body language.

“Another—” Tanya was about to add another point, but Stella cut her off.

“We get it. It’s either Dad convinces Aunt Celeste to uproot her life and move here with us as Dad’s girlfriend, or whatever happens tonight between them is a short term thing.” Stella gets to the point.

“That’s why you think it’s just a one night stand.” Cassie says, fully understanding Tanya’s meaning behind her earlier remark.

Tanya wasn’t even able to give her entire list of reasons why going after Celeste is a bad idea, but she’s made her point. You obviously did not think this through. Granted, you only really needed Cassie’s approval at the time; but you already knew you wanted to pursue Tanya as well, so this was always a possibility you should have considered.

Still… It's Celeste.

Tanya places a hand over yours to get your attention. “Papi, I’m someone who was just happy to be your fuck buddy last night, remember? So don’t get me wrong. I have no problem with that concept in general. It’s just... you asked me to be more than that. So I want to know if that’s what we really are, or are we just fuck buddies with feelings?” Tanya asks you.

“Of course not, Tanya.” you say, before placing your other hand on top of hers. “You’re my girlfriend.” you confidently tell her, looking her in the eyes as you do. She smiles at the confidence you rarely show most people. “I love you.” you tell her, not just with confidence, but with all sincerity.

The amount of time that has passed for you to feel these things for Tanya was not lost on you. The quickness was more apparent in comparison to Stella or Cassie since you’ve loved them in some way even before you had the app. Granted, you had an amazing night with Tanya the first time you were together; but you have to admit that you only had one date. For you to actually and sincerely think and feel you love Tanya already is surprising to you, but in a good way. Is the Affection Multiplier affecting you too?

Before you could ponder any further, Tanya gives you a sweet soft kiss on the lips, before professing, “I love you too.”

Tanya takes a deep breath, eyes closed with a content smile on her face, like she’s taking in the smell of nature on a bright sunny day.

“That’s one way to change a girl’s mind.”

Author’s Note: To answer Jay’s last question: Yes, he is being affected by the Affection Multiplier with the Reverse Multiplier. As I’m following Fantasy’s Affection Multiplier somewhat, I decided to implement the Reverse Multiplier here as well. Here is Fantasy’s description of it:

Reverse Multiplier: The user of the Affection Multiplier is also affected by its power, to a lesser degree. Their fondness of the people they attempt to get close to grows at double speed instead of the usual five times with no diminishing returns. However, just like with everyone else, if the user's feelings are shallow, they won't be multiplied.
