What's the harm you think. "Sure, appreciate the hospitality" you reply as you perk up a bit, a red hot blush across your face. Getting intimidated by other guys was a norm for you, but charmed? No, that was new. You were definitely embarrassed at how it seemed that this guy had stirred something in you.

You both walked over with drinks in hand and he introduced you to the rest of his group and you began to acquaint yourself with everyone. The night went on and everyone was friendly enough, but you found yourself gelling much more with Kevin. Call it an Asian connection or what not, but you could swear you could feel him getting more physically intimate with you. He was definitely coming off as subtle, staying within the lines of normal guy friend touches like playfully punching your arm after a joke.

As it got closer to midnight, the group was getting raucous as everyone was at a pretty good level of drunk. This is when some people went to dance and a few people, including you and Kevin, stayed in the booth having deeper conversations. You both had a short laugh at one of the couples getting hot and heavy without a care in the world.

It was here that Kevin started to get more personal with his conversation, very likely aided on by the copious amounts of **** he had been drinking. A little downtrodden, he relayed that his girlfriend had recently dumped him and he had been on a dry spell for a bit.

You barely knew him, but nevertheless felt sad for him and gave him a few gentle pats on the back, asking if there was anything you could do for him.
