Chapter 10 by elmer7780 elmer7780

What will she do?

She tries to understand herself better.

Will?

How would that even work? She has clearly expressed herself that she wanted to return things to normal. What else could she do?!

Is simply wanting to break apart really that hard?

Taking a look at the necklace, Nicole bites her lips and tries to think hard. She also takes the time to silently understand the situation she's in and more than anything else...herself.

She believes herself to still be Nicole. It's unlike the girl she saw who "claimed" to be Scott, but she felt nothing like him. That girl now is somehow apart of her and she understands more about the third party in all of this...Jane.

This woman, almost the same age as her, clearly is trying to move forward but she has a deep regret hanging over her. That is, she lost her son a long time ago. As a mother, Nicole could resonate with her as she wouldn't be able to live with herself if any of her children died.

There was some comfort she was feeling that wasn't her own. Even though she had lost her son...she had regained someone that had quickly become close.

"Ah..."

Nicole suddenly felt enlightened as she understood the nature of the necklace and those it affects. By will, it's not simply her own wishes but those who are a part of her too. In other words, even if she's dominant, she's not able to make decisions regarding her own existence lightly.

But, if it's herself and Jane, then they both have something in common.

Being a mother.

"I..."

Nicole pauses, tears starting to flow in her eyes. Something welled up inside of her that felt alien yet she could accept it so easily.

"I...want to see our son."

Such a declaration held more meaning this time....it held more than one person's weight. Sensing this, the necklace glowed as if responding to her...no, their will.

What happens?
