Chapter 3 by ThomasMoro ThomasMoro

What happens to Dorothy and to her clothes?

She gets attacked by a vicious clothes-eating apple tree

Dorothy knew she shouldn't do it but she was just so hungry.

And it didn't seem like anyone around would care if she ate just one apple.

As it turned out, someone did -- the apple tree itself.

"Hey, keep your hands to yourself, little lady," the tree said. "Go grow your own fruit."

"But I'm just so hungry," said Dorothy.

"So?" said the tree. "I can get hungry too but I don't go around eating your body parts."

"I'm sorry, " said Dorothy. "I guess I better be moving alon--"

"Oh, no, you don't," said the tree.

The tree reached out with a wicked-looking branch but fortunately, Dorothy was too quick. True, there was a brief tearing sound but it seemed like nothing this daughter of Kansas was likely to worry about.

Until she suddenly felt a cool breeze hit her where she normally would not feel it.

It was then that she looked up and saw an object that looked like her dress danging from the branch of the apple tree.

Then she looked down and realized that the object in the tree really was her dress.

What does Dorothy do next?
