Sadie faces an impossible decision

[Sadie's POV]

Sadie kneels before the vampiresses. Next to her kneels Tani, who somehow has survived all the carnage. Two other girls also survived, a bartender named Annie, and another stripper who goes by Star. All around the bar, Sadie sees the evidence of the vampires' massacre. About a dozen girls are strewn about, naked and drained of blood. Their bodies are covered in bites. Blood is everywhere. Sadie shivers on the concrete floor, unsure of what will happen. The vampire who Sadie assumes is the leader begins to speak.

"So these are the only ones left?" the vampire asks.

"Yes, Elizabeth" the redhead, Catherine, answers.

"Hmmmm" Elizabeth says. She walks up to Sadie, lifting her chin to look in her face, before moving down the line.

"Ladies" Elizabeth begins, "we come to offer you a wonderful gift. Immortality."

Sadie and Tani look at each other, faces showing confusion. The bartender, Annie, is softly crying next to them.

"But we only need two of you" Elizabeth says, a cruel smile creeping onto her face. "So who will it be?"

Tani's hand shoots into the air. Elizabeth smiles warmly at her.

"And what is your name, child?" Elizabeth asks.

"Ch... Tani, Mistress" Tani says obediently.

"And you would like to join our sisterhood, Tani? Even after seeing what we did here?" Elizabeth probes. "Do you think you are deserving of immortality?"

Tani nods her head. "Oh yes" she says. Sadie wishes that she could say that she was surprised, but it fits neatly with Tani's wild-child personality. Tani, always looking for the next adventure. And what an adventure this will be Sadie thinks bitterly, a real 'F.U.' to Tani's dad.

"Very well" Elizabeth says, waving to one of the other Vampires. "Jessica, would you administer our gift?" A slim brunette vampiress steps forward. She is covered in relatively less blood than the others, and looks uncertain. Jessica looks at Tani, and then back at Elizabeth. Elizabeth nods her head, and Jessica bites into her wrist, holding it out to Tani.

"Drink, child" Elizabeth says. Tani stares at the wrist, leaning forward to press her lips to the bleeding puncture wound. She closes her eyes and begins to drink the vampire's blood. The vampire Jessica's eyes also close, her mouth hanging agape. She seems to be enjoying it. Sadie can hardly believe what she is seeing.

"That's enough" Elizabeth says, and Jessica yanks her hands back. "Tani, when you awaken, you'll be reborn in darkness. Forever." Elizabeth presses her thumb to Tani's lips, smearing Jessica's blood around. Catherine steps forward and swiftly snaps Tani's neck with a sickening crunch. Tani's body crumples on the floor, and Sadie holds her hand to her mouth in abject horror.

"Three more humans, one more chance at eternity" Elizabeth says, tapping her fingers on her hip. "Who will it be?" Elizabeth looks at each of the three remaining girls, finally settling on Sadie.

"What about you?" Elizabeth says to Sadie. Sadie's blood runs cold as she meets Elizabeth's stare. Elizabeth's face displays a jocundity, even a kind of subtle warmth, but her eyes are completely dead.
