Questions and answers

In the present Daniel was concerned about Nicole, who was a bit lost since they left the hotel to walk around the city and the beach, she said it was nothing “No… Is it just… I’ve been feeling some kind of Deja Vu for a while…” Nicole felt she already knew the place. The young couple they were hanging out with recently wanted to have a bit more privacy as they excused themselves, while Nicole and Daniel went in the opposite direction “(That felt… Familiar…) I remember now!”

“Honey?”

“This place… Rebekah’s father used to work somewhere nearby!”

“Oh… I see… First time you mention him (let’s not make this awkward…)” Is not like it was the first time she mentioned him, just she seemed to be enthusiastic by that. But he wasn’t going to let that trouble him “What was his name?”

“He…” Her thoughts were blurry “Aaron… (Yes?)” How couldn’t she remember that? Why were they talking about him? She was with Daniel that moment “Never mind… This is about us now, let’s go there” She pointed at a lonely spot over the beach.

“Sure thing babe.”

“(Babe...)”

Following them was Selina with Rebekah close to them “(Now they will be alone, we must remain close… Who was that woman?)”

Where once were three people, now stand only one. But something was different, because even Selina as Emily was sure she saw for a moment Scott with two girls, as he used the necklace, but something was different, an inexplicable sensation that this wasn’t the same when Selina was born… Emily asked “Sc…” But this might not be Scott “Who are you?

“What the hell?” The two girls completely banished, only their clothes were on the ground “Emily? What do you mean? It’s me… Scott”

Selina was astonished “(What is going on?) Just… Scott?”

“What does that… What’s wrong with my voice?” It was now higher, even a bit squeaky.

“Take this” She gave him a pocket mirror “What do you see?”

“What are you… WHAAT!!? That’s… Me?”

For starters, his face loses all his normal factions as he looks Asian now. His hair was a bit longer with two strands of silver hair. His body was bigger, as his clothes felt tight. His hands seemed to be thinner, but his fingers were longer and delicate. For Emily's standards he looked handsome “(We thought he was going to turn female)”

“E-Em… What’s going on?”

“It’s hard to explain… Don’t you feel something… Different? Something more? Maybe someone…”

“I’M ASIAN NOW DAMMIT!! Obviously something is happening to me!”

“W-I mean… (What to tell… We know) Can you tell me who those girls were?”

“The girls? They… Where are they? That’s… Their clothes… Did they… Vanished?” He remembered the necklace “This thing!!” He quickly took it away and threw it to the corridor “What the hell is that thing Em!? The last thing I remember is looking for you and Rebekah as I found those girls… They… Wanted to have that necklace…”

“(The necklace... He is only ‘he’. The girls are inside him, but only their bodies are merged…) Scott… We need to talk.”

Sabryna said to Dave “Stop right there”

Maybe he was mistaken, even with his demonstration, it was hard to believe a story like that “Look I know it is hard to believe, but you must…”

“No, I do believe in you dad. It’s just…” Even with three brains acting individually and collectively, it was too much information to digest “Too much to think about… I… Need a moment alone…”

“… I understand. Take your time.”

“Thank you dad” She walked to her room and closed the door “(Now we have time for you Scott… Time you join to family business)”

Scott wasn’t sure why his sister seemed to be so calm instead of screaming considering the way he looked now. She even took the necklace from the floor and asked him to follow her. For a while he just complied, he wanted some answers, but Emily wasn’t talking, just walking. Apparently, she was looking for something. He started to become annoyed “Stop! At least say something, what the hell is going on!?”

“Agh! Fine! You moron…” For Scott that sounded more like the Emily he knew, instead of the cold robot in front of him “Look… The necklace Rebekah founded is not normal…” Selina thought, this might be moment “Let me try something”

“Like what?” ‘She’ grabbed his arm and tried to use the necklace on him. “What’s going on!?” Even if the energy of merging emanates from the necklace and both feel it, nothing happened as it was repelled again.

“Incredible.”

Scott finally lost it “Ok that’s enough! You first tell me that thing is not normal, and I believe in you… Then you tried to use it on me! What’s wrong with you!!”

Even with blank spaces fulfilled with Dave’s story, there was a lot of stuff Selina didn’t know about the necklace. It was an intoxicating sensation, and Selina's mixed feeling was making her addicted to it “Sorry. There are plenty of things you don’t know about the necklace…”

From Scott's point of view there was no way she was so calm about it “No kidding Sherlock!!” He should be angry about it, but he felt only a bit upset by the surprise act of Emily. They continued walking.

Selina wondered how to explain things to Scott, if she couldn’t merge with him, would he accept who she was? She was Emily no longer, but all Emily will ever be, resided within her, including her feelings “And plenty of things… WE don’t know.”

“We? Who else? Rebekah?”

If magic won’t work on Scott, Selina should try a different approach “Finally” She said ignoring Scott questions, because she found what she was looking on first place “Instead of telling you the answers, let me show them to you”

For a moment Scott thought she was going to use that necklace on him again, Emily was focused on spying in a door slightly open “What did you…” She abruptly opened the door revealing a woman sitting on a desk, who said MANAGER on her chest “Who is that?”

The woman was surprised to see them, as much as Scott was “Uh?” There was a freckled redhead woman the same height Scott was, with a generous cleavage “Hey kids, this area is off limits you should... What are you doing!?” She said while Emily literally jumped over her.

Then Scott saw on the first line the magic of the necklace. The redhead woman never saw it coming, as she couldn’t react, then the magic took place. For a fraction of second Scoot managed to see his sister's body sunk inside the woman, while holding her as strong as she could. Before Scott was Emily, but her hair then was orange, falling over her back. The athletic body built from Emily was gone, yet some muscles remained. Emily seemed to have grown a few years, having inherited most of Kim's facial features. Her chest firmly expanded to a C-Cup, just like her ass was rounded and bigger. “How… Do… We… Look… Brother?” Selina didn’t need time to adjust the new mind in her persona, apparently with more uses it became simpler.

Scott fell to the ground “HOLY SHIT!!! The hell is going on!! Emily you…” He saw Emily's clothes dispersed on the ground.

“We aren’t Emily.” Selina expected Scott to freak out, now she needed to play her cards well “You wanted to know what this thing did to us?”

“This is…”

“When Rebekah went to the pool, she met this girl Sabryna. They had a moment of self-discovering, and realized what kind of women they were, mostly Rebekah to be honest… But then, the necklace did this to them” She pointed to her merged form “At first… They were confused… They should be scared… But they were curious… That moment we were born… We are Selina…”

“S-Selina?”

“That was when Emily joined us… With this” They touched the necklace “And now Kim is part of us as well” Selina felt relieved to come clean with Scott, it wasn’t like wanted to hide her nature anymore, not to him at least.

Scott couldn’t formulate a single sentence “This... This is insane! I… I…”

Selina knew his words were true, but she didn’t care anymore. Part of Kim caracter made her more determined to accept this as they are “This is who we are now brother. This is our family…” They seductively approached Scott “Even if you can’t join us as Selina… We want to share this…” They removed Kim’s shirt, revealing her chest to him “With you…”

All the sanity he had left was yelling at him to run away as far as he could. “I… You…” But he couldn’t move. Selina was over him, with her arms over his shoulders approaching her face to his own, but she was waiting for him to take initiative as well “Emily…”

Scott had a lot of mixed emotions and his brain was rebooting to form a coherent action until he heard the voice of Kyo, one of the twins “(MAAAAAN SHUT UP AND GET LAID!!!... Oh oops)”

Selina quickly stood up looking for the source of the voice “Oh? Who was that?”

Scott tried to say something and move aside but he suddenly froze and became emotionless, then abruptly he smiled as the voice of Aoi was heard “(There’s no point to keep faking sis)”

“(You are right… Hi… Selina)”

The voice apparently came from Scott, but besides behaving strangely he wasn’t speaking “Tell us what’s going on… Why can we hear you only?”

Kyo said “(Both of us are right here)” Scott's body raised his hand.

“You are the girls from before… Why haven’t you merged with Scott?”

Aoi's voice seemed to be troubled by that question “(It’s complicated… I’m sorry, I will release your head)”

Scott finally managed to speak again “What the hell!!! Emily, they wanted to enter our room before! They wanted the necklace!” Why was that the first thing he said? He wondered.

Selina then was taking a good mix of Emily’s impatience and Kim’s authority “We are losing our patience! Talk now.”

Kyo felt she was something her mother was when she was angry (Scary… I’m sorry, you know… We didn’t want to steal it… Just use it once… Between us)

Aoi complemented “(What you have… What you are…)”

The last thing Selina could have hoped for, was someone else who knew what the necklace could do, and yet use it as soon as they could. Those girls willingly would use the necklace to get what they had, to become like them. “We believe we understand that, we can empathize with you. But how did you end up like this?”

Scott seemed to be overwhelmed by his curiosity instead of fear, he remembered something that was wrong with the recent events “Wait a moment, if that necklace is so important why did you leave it on the floor in front of the door just like that?”

Kyo apparently knew why “(Ohh… I… We… It was just for a moment!)”

Selina was confused by that question “What are you talking about? What’s wrong with it?”

If Aoi could sight, she would have done that “(By this point… You have the ring, right?)”

Selina has completely forgotten about it, as Rebekah was holding the box while she spotted Nicole and Daniel “How did you…” Then she realized that the woman and the girls were connected.

Kyo admitted “(We might have… Use it on you… Hehe)” No need to have a face to see she was nervous “(I’m sorry! It was to have the necklace for a moment, then we were going to return it, I swear!!)”

Selina realized what happened, just like Dave’s story “Did you… Use that ring on us? (The power of these jewels is incredible)” Both girls started in hundreds of ways of sorry, that seemed to be something they did regularly, Selina didn’t have time for that “No.” She cut them.

Kyo stopped asking for forgiveness and said “(No what?)”

Selina continued “I will ask a question and one of you will answer it, stick to the point” Their new Kim side was giving them an authority behavior.

Both girls sounded resigned “(Yes Ma’am…)”

Selina took a moment to order her thoughts “Scott, we believe you took the necklace after we left it on the floor. How did you end up in that corridor with them?”

He said “I... (Better follow her game, until I manage to do something… I guess?)” The situation was completely surreal, but Scott needed to give it some sense. “They appeared outside, looking for it, and they were surprised by a woman who scolded them, apparently their mother… They three left eventually.”

Selina continued “So you went looking for us before even founding the necklace, is that right? (Bro…)” He nodded, then Selina asked “How did you… Who are you both?”

The girls imagined hundreds of ways of how their encounter with Nicole was going to be, but never like that. So it was time for presentations “(I’m Kyo! Nice to meet you!)”

“(And I… I’m Aoi)”

Selina thought in Scott’s words “The woman who gave us the ring is your mother right?”

“(Yes…)” Aoi admitted.

Selina needed to be more direct “Who is she?”

Kyo was the first to speak “(We can’t say it… She ordered us to not tell… Until everything became clear)”

Aoi said “(That’s what she said… Please, don’t push us to disobey another order… This won’t…)”

Selina sighed. Not only was this mysterious woman in the dark affecting Selina’s life, now two girls who seemed to know what she wanted to know at that moment “(We are not sure why… But we believe in them) Ok, we will keep that for later…” Selina felt she needed a different focus “Tell me, how can you talk like this? Your merge seems to be only physical. Has it something to do with the way the necklace merges you three?”

Kyo knew this was coming “(Ehm… Not exactly… You see…)”

But Aoi interrupted her “(We have psychic powers!)”

“(And you are supposed to be the modest twin…)”

“(Sorry…)”

This was new, magic outside the jewels “Psychic powers? For real?”

Aoi felt obliged to explain “(Yes… The necklace… Merge the body mind and soul for those who use it)”

Kyo added “(But if those people aren’t woman with woman, or men with men… Whoever wears the necklace, will just absorb them… To enhance their body. Just look at us!)” Scott's body began to pose in some embarrassing ways for him.

Selina felt disappointed, her brother only knew superficially what being a merged being was “So, Scott is still Scott. That’s (Sad...) Disappointing”

Scott quickly said “I like being just me, thank you! And stop doing that!”

Kyo said “(We have been talking to you telepathically)”

“(Normally being absorbed means that person will remain **** inside who has absorbed them, but our combined powers… Let us take over him… Temporarily! With the necklace we can split apart…)”

Selina started to formulate some theories “For what we know, the ring has been used only on short distances… Is that a fact?” The girls made Scott nod “It might be… You used your power to extend that range?”

Kyo was surprised “(… That’s… Exactly what happened… How did you know it?)”

Aoi not that much “(They are four minds combined, maybe one of them could figure out that our power could affect it)”

Something inside Selina felt that these girls, even as extravagant they were, meant well “(That’s sweet of them)” But it didn’t mean that they weren’t to keep talking “Another question, why couldn’t we merge with our mother Nicole and with you?”

That was a new revelation for Scott “You what?!”

Aoi was surprised as well “(You tried!)”

Kyo answered “(See… While someone is merged… Or has absorbed someone, they became incapable of merge with other users of the necklace…)”

That explained why Selina couldn’t merge with Nicole, she once was Kelly “Does that mean mom…”

Before she finished, an older voice stopped them. “I suppose that’s enough” Everyone turned to see the mysterious woman who suddenly appeared.

Both girls yelled mentally “(Mom!)”

While the woman wasn’t looking at him, Scott felt the weight of her eyes over him “You brats are grounded! First take the ring without permission and now…” Both girls were babbling at the same time trying to explain their behavior, not letting anyone understand what they were saying. The woman knew she was part of the fault “Girls… I know, I’m the one who keeps talking to you about that necklace, but you need to learn your lesson one way or the other.”

Selina was tired of this, her existence was because of magic, this woman knew much more of what she was willing to say, yet she couldn't get any answer from her “Don’t you try to disappear again!” All the confusion and questions she once formulated of herself began to flow again in her thoughts “You know who we are… You know what we are!” Now she sounded more like Sabryna hoping for a hint of Karen’s past “Tell us…” What was the right question? “This necklace is changing ourselves, isn't it? Not just our bodies…”

It was hard to explain, Selina was feeling the same as Scott before, that this blind woman was looking at her, but for Selina was an even more strong feeling, that she was looking not at Emily merged with Kim, that she was looking directly at Selina, that this woman was the only one capable of properly acknowledge who Selina was, the questions and answers she could not get for on her own, no matter how many people conformed Selina.

Suddenly the woman spoke “Dear,” She smiled again, in a maternal way “Not even I can tell you that.” That was not what Selina wanted to hear. “Magic is indeed something powerful that can bless or curse someone's life.”

“Were we cursed or blessed with this necklace? What about Kelly?” Then some sort of guilt was over the merged being “We just added Kim to ourselves, without any moral remorse… What kind of person makes us that?”

“You can’t expect that someone besides yourself will tell you that answer.”

Selina aparted her eyes from the woman face “That’s just a sweet form of saying nothing”

The woman ignoring Selina’s comment took the necklace from Scott and went by Selina's side. “Who that person was before and became after using the necklace it's beyond my knowledge.” She said as she gave back the necklace to Selina “Karen used to say, ‘If I’m afraid to learn who I really am, then I don’t have the right to be that woman’.”

Selina felt cold, this wasn’t going the way she wanted… While it wasn’t something rare for Sabryna, the other girls were so complacent “That… Isn’t helping! You know what we want to know!” She annoyedly said to her.

“That’s something Dave used to say back then” She gave her a nostalgic smile.

“…” This was going nowhere. “What stops us from merging with you and getting some real answers?”

“The fact that you will keep looking for answers on others besides you, the idea that your questions will never stop coming.” Her tone abruptly changed “But of course you are allowed to try, and see where that will lead you” Selina was unsure if she should keep her threat or not, the woman even knowing what she was capable of, seemed to be calm about it. Then the woman returned to her more familiar tone “The answers you are looking for, you won’t find it in someone else besides you”

Again things weren’t going like Selina wanted, but she wasn’t giving up “And what about the ring? Why did you give it to us exactly?”

“Alone, it will give you only power and control over others. If you learn how to use that power Nicole could change her actual rol in this… Let Dave continue his story.”

The same way with the girls, Selina got the feeling that the woman didn’t mean bad with her “We… Will.”

The woman suddenly turned around “Now you two…” Scott's body reflected the concern of the girls “This wasn’t what I was hoping for you tonight but serves you well. You will remain like that until I say so”

The girls complained “(Mom! Not fair!)”

Scott wasn’t comfortable with that arrangement “What does that mean!? Am I stuck like this?”

She said “Think of it like an opportunity to understand what happened to your family. Who knows, you may enjoy it with time…”

“No way! I’m not gonna…”

“Enough!” Scott was scared, but what that woman said seems to be mandatory. He didn’t understand why, but he didn’t want to disobey. “Now Scott, you will come with me” His body moved outside the room “Dear Selina, sorry for the mess these girls caused, but it didn’t end badly, don’t you think?”

Something Selina couldn’t understand was how even after what happened with Scott the woman seemed to be calm so easily “You planned it all to end like this?”

“Mostly, the girls and Scott part was a surprise, but it might be better that way. Do you mind if I take your brother with me?”

“(Scott.. We want to talk with you but… We need to resolve this first) We… We don’t think he is in trouble, but we aren’t sure if we should trust you.”

“Good. You don’t have to… But, if you decide to do so, all I can tell you is that your life won’t be the same.” She started to walking away but stopped and said “Never forget the necklace is yours Selina, you are your own person even if you haven’t realised yet”

“At least… Tell us your….”

“Mizumi” Something was giving relief to Selina knowing how she was called, but again she didn’t understand why “Just, don’t mention it to Dave until he is finish” Apparently Dave’s story is far from being complete “No matter what you decide tonight, I love you the same way Karen and Kelly did”

Why was it feeling so personal? She wasn’t Sabryna’s mother or something. Mizumi made a weird impact on Selina’s life “We…” Some tears were flowing through her eyes. She blinked and that was all Mizumi needed to disappear again.
