Loose Cannon

"Well, that was a fun break. Let's see what our audience chose."

Ali didn't need to be told. She'd been watching the voting, and 4 was winning by a more than comfortable margin. On one hand, the idea of that level of power was a bit exciting. On the other, having little to no control over it wasn't, especially with her fluctuating intelligence. Still, it wasn't the worst outcome she could have gotten.

"It seems like this one is cut and dry. Let's see 'Careless Conjurer'."

Ali gasped as she felt new power flow through her. Before she could fill out breasts, raise libidos, trigger an orgasm...basic sex magic. Now she was capable of nearly anything sexual with her eromancy. Changing people's lives, looks, minds, changing large number of people and even rewriting the rules of reality itself...all of it was at her fingertips.

Except it wasn't. When her mind was her own, particularly if she'd sharpened it at the expense of others, she would largely be able to make the changes she wanted. But even that would be perilous. The slip of her mind could cause the changes to veer off course, the slip of her tongue to cause changes she hadn't even intended. Occasionally, and through no control of her own, a change might actually be more **** than she'd intended, or impact more people than she'd ever meant to.

The problem was far worse if her mind was dulled. Then her ditzy, wandering brain could transform the world and people around her by accident. And any purposeful change she made would almost certainly result in a mishap. Many of the mishaps would even be permanent, such that even her own abilities couldn't reverse them. The thought of people she cared about being affected in such a way made her shiver.

"Okay...not great." She said.

"Indeed," Jack agreed. Something about his demeanor had changed. He seemed ill at ease. Was she really so powerful that she even scared him? "Now, you have selected 5 boxes. That means you have a choice. Would you like to continue, or would you prefer to stop for now? If you do, all your changes will remain permanent and we'll release you into your new life. But if you stay, you could end up with something even worse. What do you say?"

Ali mulled that over, biting her lip as she thought. She could get out now. Cut her losses. As bad as her predicament was, it could get so, so much worse. She hadn't even hit the Behavior or Sexuality boxes yet, and God only knew what sort of madness could be in the grab bags.

Still, she had burned through about half of the punishments. Most of the 15 remaining bags were rewards. Money wouldn't hurt, but she could even have a chance to reverse some of these changes if she drew the right numbers, or at least mitigate them. Her odds were good. And between intelligence, lifestyle and body type, most of the worst changes were behind her.

"Okay. I've made my decision," She said.
