Fight or Flight?
Taking Flight
"What is your answer?" The Captain asked sternly, he had the most annoying presence to him DEBUG_HERO thought, so full of himself and demanding. If it was up to her, he never would've made guard, she actually missed old Sir Eddar, glad to see he wasn't her captor.
Yes she was in a very bad position, the single guard on her left, she couldn't even see how many guards were to her right. Those weren't good odds she figured, so there wasn't much risk in trying something else.
"Good thing I set the palace a flame, at least I got some ****" DEBUG_HERO nodded behind the group of guards, towards the Royal Palace, and the idiots turned, startled. That was all that she needed, DEBUG_HERO winked at the guard to her left and with a grin flipped back to the battlements atop the wall behind her. 'This might hurt' she thought and she jumped away from the wall, pushing herself as far as possible, as away from the jagged rocks as she could.
There were shouts coming from above, a few bolts were shot after her but all missed. She was flying, she was soaring, wind rushed passed her head, she just wished to not be too badly hurt by this jump.
"That wasn't smart" DEBUG_HERO groaned in pain as she pulled herself to the wet sand. Looking at herself, her leg rested in an unnatural position, twisted with the foot facing the wrong direction. She had to pull it behind her, like it wasn't even her leg, it hurt so much she almost feinted. Blood streaked on her left side, she was sure she lost her left ear, had a few lacerations across the left side of her face and a very nasty gash on her left shoulder. 'Dragons it hurt so much' she thought, it was both hot and cold, and she felt like her mouth was completely dry for some reason.
"I thought you were well practiced with self-healing by now" the snarky elf remarked, the hallucination, or 'projection' as she referred to herself, was standing on the sand next to DEBUG_HERO, dress not even getting wet by the water. DEBUG_HERO hated that hallucination right now, she would break into the mage prison just so she could strangle that smug bitch.
"I need to be conservative, I feel there's a lot of blockage" DEBUG_HERO answered the manifestation of the white haired elf. It was true, there was little chance she could heal all of her injuries, and who knows what awaits her further. While she got away from the immediate danger, it won't take the guards long to get here, she might have half an hour advantage at best because they had to circle around the cliff, rush through the Pearlgreen and Royal Gardens just to get to the Royal Harbour where she currently was. Luckily there are a lot of stalls and movement in the Harbour marketplace.
She fixed her leg first, she had to be able to use it, otherwise she cannot flee. She started by twisting it back around and setting it in the regular position, it was such a heavenly feeling to feel the energy seep into the leg, like a rush of cold refreshing water. Next she channeled the healing into her abdomen, she was sure she had some internal bleeding, the hematoma spreading below her breasts was a sign of something not being right. There was a feeling of rejuvenation, and she did feel something was back where it should be, but sadly she couldn't let that feeling through, having to stop the external bleeding from her shoulder and the rest of her left side. She'll have to deal with restoring her ear later, for now at least it doesn't bleed anymore, still sore to the touch though.
She tugged on the fabric of the world, it felt like she was barely awake, instead of the rich colours she usually saw her surroundings in, now it was barely her vicinity, and with desaturated deaf colours.
The elf looked at her, awaiting an answer, as if she knew DEBUG_HERO did a check to see how much arcane energy she can still channel. "Not much" DEBUG_HERO answered, she used to have an enormous supply of mana potions at her disposal previously, she most definitely did not appreciate it.
"Any useful information?" DEBUG_HERO asked the figment. 'Why was she trusting her?' she thought, if it was an actual person, surely it's prone to betrayal like everyone else, but that's a worry for later she figured.
"You're in luck, those creates over there have some coats from Griria, you won't be fashionable, but it will work for a fugitive" The elf said very dismissively, DEBUG_HERO wondered if it was possible to punch a projection.
In less than a moment she had a simple long dress on with a cloak and some extra fabric to change her figure a bit, only thing left was head towards the western gate, don't get discovered and hope the white haired elf find her somewhere to stay. It might've been bizarre to her past self to be listening to a hallucination, just a year ago DEBUG_HERO was hallucinations free. She was mad, she was aware of that, but for some reason it didn't bother her much.
Any events on the path to the western gate?
