Mini-Boss Fight

Hey Mark, Ahmed, Susan,

So good news from my team and I. We have made good progress on one of the mini-bosses fights from the first level. One of my team, Haley mentioned something about a possibility of a couple new character concepts that would be new npcs. We had an idea with this mini-boss.

We were thinking we could have a cut scene at the end in which the player decides whether to spare or kill the character. If they take the option to spare the character, the npc would pledge themselves to the hero. Probably best if they were from some sort of honor society or such. The player could of course refuse, but it would provide another romantic relationship possibility.

Perhaps the barbarian or one of those half-animal races you were thinking of. Could even go with an oriental one because of the classic honor stereotypes. I would appreciate it if you could run the concept by Alanah. I'm sure she will be thrilled for another opportunity for worldbuilding and character backstories.

We have half a dozen minions for this mini-boss and a great environment with an opportunity to possibly unlock one of the early skills? With your permission of course.

Let us know what you think and what kind of character you want there. We will modify the encounter accordingly.

On another note, we are halfway through another mini-boss but ran into a snag. Liam, the lead on it is moving away and has given us only three days notice instead of the two weeks. Could you talk to HR about getting us a replacement?

I'll try to pick up the slack on it until then, but I do have a lot on my plate already.
