Ahmed Today 21:46 : Media is saying we're racist beauze our promotioal art has no dark-skinned carachters, and they're not wrong. Eleara might be an elf, but she's still white, and so are all the other ones with normal human skin colors.

Alanah Today 21:47 : Suppose we come up with some bullshit excuse as to why there are none? Like, the game takes place in medieval times, there are dark-skinned people, just elsewhere in the world, not the area you play in.

Ahmed Today 21:54 : I feel like that is a can of worms. And with how much DLC we'll be pumping out, people will eventually demand "well, if there is a place they exist and live in, give us a DLC to visist there". It would be simpler to just add a few here and there. A maid over there, a trader over here, maybe a few slaves or concubines. Just enough that it can't be said we didn't care to add them.

Alanah Today 21:56 : That works, although I'll need to reword some character building. Maybe there exists limited trade with their nation... oh, and we can also add a few oriental characters, just make our own version of the silk road. Imagine the DLC and development we could milk out of that! An entire continent, or more! Maybe I could even get Susan to fork over some sexy Asian princess as a DLC character or secret unlockable party member.

Ahmed Today 21:59 : You're kinda scary when you get an idea on how to improve worldbuilding, you know? Anyways, that should work, I'll contact Mark about it too. I'm sure Susan and her team will get us some decent stuff for what we need here. Oh, also, we got an interesting suggestion from Al about how to handle the elf and mage situation.

Ahmed Today 22:02 : Well, there's also the issue of lack of LGBT representation (yeah, we're getting that shit too), so why not make it so the player can set up party members they don't romance together, and make those two the first lesbian couple? It'd sure get us some brownie points with the crowd that's bound to keep complaining until we add something.

Alanah Today 22:03 : That works, maybe I can see if I can cook up something in the lore to say it's more accepted than it was in historic times, I'm sure that'll please some people. While still not being compromising enough for us to be accused of doing it just to please a crowd or being politcally correct. If that's it, I need to get to work on this new stuff.
