More Tests are waiting for him but he has a Talk with the Professor and Scott.

(I am not good in first person stories ... but I will try^^)

I slowly straightened up again and took the t-shirt Jean offered me to wear again. She smiled friendly and then went back to her computer. Apparently, she was about to enter and analyze some of the data.

"And what does that mean now? Is that good for me or bad for me?" I asked uncertainly and wondered how such a device could have gotten into my head.

"I can't tell you that yet. In any case, it is a high-tech device. Nothing that can be implanted in the normal way." She said quietly, playing with a pen as she looked at me. "Have you ever been in a hospital or has there ever been any weird surgery?" she asked, and I wondered.

"I went to hospital when I was 15. My parents said I had an accident at home and fell on my head. I don't remember exactly what happened." I answered her calmly and then added. "Could it have happened there?"

"Normally, most mutants first become aware of their abilities between the ages of 14 to 16. It would not be entirely impossible that in your awakened state you triggered something that was thought to be dangerous and therefore limited it."

"Without telling me?" I asked, confused, and she gave me a smile that made me feel very different.

" Dean. I don't know how to tell you this, but you are a mutant monster and your abilities nearly killed us all. "Because we're scared and ashamed of you as your parents, we're going to make sure you blend in. We don't want our neighbors to know that you are one of these wretched monsters. A freak. That's why we're going to implant a device that will deprive you of what you are now... Do you understand what I mean, Dean?"

"Oh... yes... if you put it that way, Miss Grey!" I sighed.

"I'm sorry Dean, but the world as you knew it doesn't really exist. Experiments on mutants are unfortunately widespread." Just as I was about to say something, the heavy doors of the lab opened, and Professor X and Scott came in. I couldn't believe that this older man in the wheelchair was really supposed to be such a big hero.

"And how is our youngest member?" asked the older man and Scott looked sternly at both of us. Jean handed him a tablet, which he looked at calmly and nodded as she began to speak.

"Dean is definitely a mutant, but one that I have never seen before. However, we have similar reports of these abilities in our records from different Mutants, but he is the first in the School. What I can say in any case is that we do not see the full extent of his powers now. He carries a limiter in his head.

"Similar to the limiter the government uses?" Scott asked, folding his arms.

"Yes, but not as advanced. The limiter is not capable of suppressing all his powers."

"What kind of powers are they?" asked Scott again, and I didn't like the way he looked at me.

"He has a wide range of abilities. However, most of these powers are like ours. Increased endurance, strength and resistance. His biochemistry is at a far higher level than normal humans."

I could literally see Scott sighing and imagined him twisting his eyes behind those glasses, which he strangely never took off. "Does this mean we have another Wolverine? Is he gonna be a dick like him?"

I raised one eyebrow and looked at Jean with fascination. "Did he just compare me to Wolverine? That is so cool!" I laughed, and she looked at me and stroked my hair laughing.

"I'm sorry, little one, but no. You and Logan are worlds apart. It's not gonna work out." She laughed and looked at her husband. "No, Scott. It's not that bad. His primary ability seems to be pheromone-based, though. It's not minds control or telepathy, it's more of a pheromonal ****."

"****?" Xavier asked, raising one eyebrow. "Is he dangerous?"

"He is in this room!" I muttered and found it somehow humiliating that nobody really talked to me except Jean.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Mr. Wayne. You just must understand that we must recognize your potential danger. Here at this school you will not be persecuted by anyone, but some of my students have powers that are dangerous to others. Do you understand?" the professor smiled at me and the way he spoke to me was very reassuring.

"Yes... yes! I'm just a little scared. This is all so new to me! May I hold your hand Mrs. Grey?" I asked, and she thought about it shortly before she nodded and took my hand.

"Of course, Dean. If it helps." She smiled, and I could see Scott and the professor were exchanging a confused look.

"Hey! It's only natural that she should do that, right? She's just trying to calm me down." I defended myself and they both looked at me, especially the professor seemed indecisive for a second before he nodded.

"Of course. As you can see, we are not your enemies here. We founded this school to help people like you. Do you understand that?" asked the professor and I nodded.

"So... what's going to happen now?" I asked and could hardly believe how gentle Jean's hand felt on me. If someone had told me a week ago that I would hold the hand of such a beautiful woman, I would have laughed at him. And yet here I was, standing in a high-tech lab, talking to some real X-Men and holding the hand of the hottest woman I'd ever seen.

Scott smiled for the first time and looked at me. "Jean will examine your mind so we're sure you're not a spy. After that another friend of ours will try to find out more about the limiter and of course about your powers. We'll see what else we can find out after that."

"Read my mind?" I asked, startled, and turned red. Hard to imagine when Jean saw what I thought of her! Or worse! If she told her husband. He'd tear me apart. "But I don't want you to enter my thoughts without my permission!" I said something more specific than necessary.

"Don't worry, Dean. We won't!" Jean smiled gently at me and held my hand gently.

"Are you sure about this Jean?" the professor asked telepathically, and Scott was also in this thought connection.

"We have to be sure he's not a spy for Magneto."

"We no longer need to enter his thoughts without his permission. I already scanned him during the flight." Jean thought calmly.

"And why didn't you tell me this directly?" Scott asked while the professor held back.

"First, because you didn't ask. Second, because you should know me better. I would never allow anyone to be brought on board that would be a danger to you. And three, because you wouldn't like what I saw!"

I had no idea what was going on, but they were looking at each other in a weird way. It was almost like they were in a conversation I couldn't hear until I remembered that at least two of them were telepaths. However, I could see Jean suddenly starting to grin cheekily.

"What did you see?" the professor asked, and Jean turned to him.

"That I am the hottest woman he has ever seen, and you are not half as impressive as Wolverine!"

Suddenly Scott looked at me and ran his hand through my face and pulled a face while I could see a relaxed expression on the faces of Jean and the Professor. Whatever had happened, they seemed to think it was funny.

"Wonderful. Another one of those! You're gonna fit right in here, kiddo, so I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told Logan back then! Jean is my girl!" he laughed and lightly punched me in the chest before he and the professor left the room.

"Who is Logan?" I asked Jean in a confused way as she led me back to the examination table.

"That's Wolverine's real name. At least the one he remembers." She smiled, then ordered me to lie down. "Shall we continue? Don't worry. It's just a few more tests!" she smiled and then looked at our hands, still clenched together.

"Can I let you off now?"
