Ralli stood pensively, deciding the best course of action. "My trainees showed me a different side of themselves today. Harvey demonstrated his strength. Liam demonstrated his cunning. Harley demonstrated her honor. Two demonstrated their spear-throwing skills... All, at least, demonstrated their drive...

... Also, the spirit of Dyna's message was surely to offer as many rewards as possible, I believe. I think I understand.

... Also, this is far too hard to decide. Who is worthy of reward? What is the cutoff of worthiness? Do I give it to just those who actively impressed me and make the others resentful? I have no way to predict how humans will react. I need to just trust my instincts."

"All of you passed. All of you will be rewarded," her stony voice resonated from her closed visor.

Everyone remained frozen in what they were doing, staring at her without comprehension, waiting for the punchline at their expense.

Finally, Liam laughed with a half-cocked smile, taking the reins on behalf of his fellow trainees. "... Really, Teach?"

"Do not make me repeat myself. All of you will be rewarded," Ralli said again, feeling from this reaction like she had definitely screwed up, but unsure of how to take it back.

"Heh... Hehe... Uh... Okay, Teach. Y-you mean those of us who were in the cart? Or Harvey too? How about Harley?"

"All... of you," Ralli spoke once more, barely stopping a question from creeping into her voice when she caught herself almost asking Liam what the right answer was.

Everyone remained silent a second longer... Then, everyone broke into a cheer. Even those with sore and aching bodies were up and practically dancing. They were high-fiving and clapping each other on the back. The Dustaine siblings were even hugging. Liam was laughing a bit maliciously.

"All right!" Harvey shouted loud enough to be heard. "Me first, I want-!"

"Shut up right now!!" Liam shouted over him, causing everyone to grow silent in surprise. "I mean, uh, Harvey... Quiet a sec, all right? We all need to think hard about what to ask for... so as to best benefit the good of the class, okay? We have eight total requests here. Do you get it, my man? We can change our lives, here!!"

"I reserve the right to refuse requests," Ralli added, a bit sheepishly for a knight sergeant referred to as "Hellknox the Demon" by her students.
