Carrie Has Been Getting to Know David

A week later, you and Carrie are walking through an amusement park together hand in hand. Carrie looks radiant today in her long white sundress, but you can't help but notice the way she's dressing slightly more conservatively around you.

"You look like there is something you're dying to ask me about." She asks with a grin.

"...David"

"Oh?" She fakes a laugh. "You want to know how I've getting along with my new Man?"

You nod in answer, and with it comes a pause. She's drawing out the moment

"Well, I don't know. Conversations like that are private. I can't just tell you without asking him." She gives you a wink. Then, she pulls her phone from her purse and starts typing away. There's a certain tension that comes with not knowing what she is writing. "I'll say a friend was asking."

It only takes a few seconds after she finishes for it to beep with a notification.

"He said sure, then asked if you were hot."

You both laughed.

"Alright, so David can actually be kind of funny over text. In like a witty response kind of way. It took him a bit to warm up to me, but I've been enjoying myself more then a I thought..."Suddenly, she gives you a hard smack on the ass. "...I'm sure you're excited about that."

You sputter and refuse to meet her eyes.

"Still he keeps making all these political jokes that are really cringe worthy. Misogynist shit. No wonder he's already so head over heels for me. I bet he's turned off every woman he's spoken to in months with all of it." She groans and rolls her eyes. It's the same expression of contempt that she used to make for him before you called in her promise. "What did you call the website you see him using?"

"4chan?"

"Yeah, that's one. It never stops with him. A shame because if he could control it for five minutes, he wouldn't do half bad with girls."

Together, you arrive at the tunnel of love ride. When the boat is about to go under, you're left paralyzed. Should you kiss her? Is that even allowed anymore?

"Kiss me, you idiot." She laughs.
