After going over the house, the two head back to Marcus' car, where Evelyn said "He's not going to be at that cabin."

"Agreed." Marcus turned the key, bringing the engine to life.

"Maybe we should talk to Sharon?"

"Played all our cards already."

"What do you mean?"

"We've dropped resisting arrest."

"That's bullshit."

"Well, it got us to this point. Brian's the real danger anyway."

Evelyn shook her head to the thought of Sharon getting off lightly, but deep down she knew Marcus was right. Nailing Brian was the key to putting an end to the burglaries. Once the heat dies down, he could easily go to one of his friends. After a minute or so of silence, Marcus said "So, did Darren tell you anything interesting?"

"No. Poor guy's devastated though."

"Hate to be in his shoes, that's for sure."

"Yeah... so what's the next move?"

"May as well go to the cabin, right?"

"Guess so."

"Hey, you never know."

"Sure. Maybe we'll run into bigfoot and a million bucks on the way."

"Ain't your new boyfriend worth a mill?"

"Hope so."

"Does he also roam around the woods on big feet?"

"No but he has a big something."

"Beyond the big bank account?"

"Sure does."

"Haha. Hope it works out for you."

"Me too. I'll be set for life."

That's when Marcus pulled up by the cabin, where two patrol cars are also parked. The two get out, wondering what is waiting for them.
