God news and delighted soon to be in-laws

You and Gwen seem to talk about everything and nothing during the car ride back. Your mood has clearly been lifted by the shopping experience. The entire world looks brighter and you can feel your heart beating with joy. As Gwen pulls out in front of the Cunningham's house you and Gwen hurry out and empty the car. You almost skip with excitement as you hurry to the front door and ring the doorbell. Patricia opens the door and immediately gets excited when she sees you. "Max come look at the beautiful summer princess that's at our door!" She yells into the house. You blush happily as both Max and Patricia starts commenting on how lovely you look as you enter the house.

You sitt down at the kitchen table with your sister and Alex's parents. "We have some good news." Max says. "The meeting with your parents went really well all things considered. Agnes is much calmer now and we have decided that both of our families will have another sit down again tomorrow." he continues with a hint of pride of his own achievement in his role. The news although good makes you feel really nervous, it's like a stone suddenly materializes in your stomach. You clearly don't hide it well as Max continues in a more comforting tone. "Don't worry John. We will work everything out." he says and gives your hand a pat. "Actually it's Amy now, John doesn't really fit any more." You respond hesitantly. "Well that's a beautiful name right Patricia?" Max says still comforting. "It sure is love, a very beautiful name indeed." Patricia coos in response. "Well i'm going back home to try to prepare our parents for tomorrow." Gwen says. "Take care of my little sister for me until then." she says as she hugs you.

You continue talking with Patricia and Max for a while after Gwen leaves. After a while you hesitantly ask where Alex is since he hasn't shown himself yet. "He is still in his room." Max responds with rather a rather harsh tone. His anger at his son has clearly not dissipated. You quickly turn the attention away from Alex. After a while both Patricia are **** to excuse themselves as for dinner preparation leaving you the perfect time to sneak into Alex's room.
