Beaten and almost broken but you manage to put him together

You quietly make your way to Alex's room. You softly open the door just enough for you to get inside. The gentle rays of the evening sun streaming trough the window paints the entire room in a soft orange light. It's a typical boys room in every regard, posters from Alex's favorite bands hangs on the wall, a pile of clothes occupies the armchair in the corner. Alex is resting on the bed, face down into a pillow which he clutches with his arms. He is wearing a pair of jeans shorts and a polo shirt, the type of clothes Alex almost always wear when he needs to look nice.

He doesn't react to you entering. "Alex." You say softly. Alex jolts and "huh, wha.." is all he manages to say before he turns his head and sees you. He stops dead and just stares at you, his mouth slightly agape. His eyes are red, his hair is disheveled (which is actually Alex's general hairstyle). "Hi." You say in an even softer tone giving Alex a broad smile. "h... hi." Alex stammers unable to take his eyes of you. You feel a little embarrassed about Alex reaction, but you don't dislike it. It actually feels really good having someone be speechless by your appearance, somehow it feels even better because it's Alex.

"You, you look... You look..." Alex stammers, trying desperately to express himself as you walk over to the side of the bed. Alex lays on his side to more easily. "How do i look?" You ask teasingly as you give Alex a slow twirl still shooting him a a warm smile. You want Alex to drink you all in. "beautiful." Alex murmurs completely transfixed by you. "Thank you Alex." You say still smiling at him.

"How are you feeling?" You ask, your demeanor turning concerned. "I'm fine." Alex says as he sits up and averts his gaze. But you can feel that he isn't fine and that he is too ashamed to admit it. You walk forward, standing close to Alex and starts gently caressing his face and running your fingers trough his hair. Alex closes his eyes clearly enjoying your touch. You notice how his entire body starts relaxing. "Is it really fine Alex?" You ask still sounding concerned. "I'm fine John. I'm honestly fine." He says sounding reassuring. But you can clearly feel that he isn't.

Continuing stroking him you step a little closer so that his head touches the fabric of you blue dress. "Firstly, you should not call me John any more. Call me Amy." You say softly. "Amy." Alex murmurs softly as he starts turning into your soft caresses. "Do you like it?" You ask softly smiling down at him. "I love it." Alex murmurs. "Secondly i know that everything is not fine Alex so stop lying." You say kindly but authoritatively. "I'm fine." He murmurs sounding tired. "I just... need to hold my Amy." he says and grabs your waist in a strong an gentle hug, burying his face in the dress fabric of your stomach.

You continue to run your fingers trough Alex's hair. Knowing that you are able to provide comfort to him fills you with a nice warm feeling. "Things are going to work out Alex." You say after a while. "You now what, things are going to work out better than alright. Things are going to be great. Do you know why Alex?" You pause giving Alex time to respond. But he doesn't. "Because from now on we are a team and we will face everything together." You say softly. "And i can't think of a better person to do this with than you Alex." You continue. "You have grown so much just these past days Alex and i'm really proud of that. You never shied away from your responsibilities when most guys would have run for the hills. You have shown sides that i never knew you had, you are loving, caring and self sacrificing." Your fingers run down his neck and he starts hugging you tighter. "And you know what Alex? Those qualities show that you are going to be a great partner. And you know what else Alex? Those qualities also mean that you are going to be a great daddy." You grab the back of his head and gently pull him into you. "But from now on we are a team and we are going to face all our problem like one, okay?" You wait but get no response from Alex.

You stand there and gently hold and massage his neck. "Amy dinners ready." You hear Patricia yell. You tense feeling angry that se didn't call for her son at all. But you have no energy to spare on that. You gently pull away from Alex's embrace. lowering yourself down you kiss hiss forehead. Then you continue downward kneeling in front Alex so that you sit face to face. He still looks sad but try to put on a brave face. You kiss him on the lips, gently tasting him. "Come on lets go eat." You say and grabs his hand and starts to lead him to the kitchen.

The dinner is awkward due to the fact that Alex's parents do their best to ignore him (his father trowing him angry looks periodically.). You do your best to lighten the mood but somewhat fail. Alex just looks like he would much rather be literally anywhere else than during the entire meal.

You continue to socialise with Alex's parents during the evening until you feel that you are able to excuse yourself to go to bed. You have a small knot of worry for what tomorrow will bring but you are actually starting to think that things will work out. So you are able to drift of to sleep pretty easily.
