Chapter 7 by ErisAphrodite ErisAphrodite

Take a drape, or leave as-is?

Take a drape

Not keen on being seen in such a state as the dog-girl left you, you look up at the drapes, gripping the sheer pink silk of the one closest. It's translucent by itself, but wrapped in layers it should work to hide your nakedness. Giving an experimental tug, you find it firmly secured to the curtain rod.

Pursing your lips, you give it another pull, a little harder this time. The long curtain rod clangs in its braces, and you wince, peeking behind you to make sure the others are still sleeping. Noting their seemingly sound slumber, you return to the task at hand, and decide to try and drag the curtain off the rod.

Walking along the window, pulling the drape over the rod, your feet get tangled in the mass of silk, and before you know it, you stumble and trip. In your attempt at balancing yourself, you lean back away from the wall, dragging the drapes with you as you fall into a pile of plushies with a stifled curse. The curtain rod comes loose to clang even louder against the big chair, sending the silken drapery billowing over you and casting you into suffocatingly soft pink shadows.

"Kitty?" mumbles the blonde girl. Your collar's bell rings with an unnatural echo, and you feel the spell strengthen once again.

Your will to stand back up drains away, but you think perhaps that's a good thing as you try to stay still underneath the fallen drapes to hide. Listening carefully, you hear someone shuffling in the room outside.

"Oh, look at this mess!" the girl whines sluggishly. "Someone's been a bad kitty..."

You soon hear slow steps coming closer, and when something brushes the drapes near you, you feel the urge to pounce upon the source of the mysterious motion.

What do you do?
