A bite to eat, followed by a nap.

Opening up a can of fruit cocktail, Kayo spends the next few minutes eating, picking out the grapes as she eats the peaches and pears, saving the cherries for last. The irony that her favorite part is the cherries is completely lost on her.

Finding a small trash can, she tosses the empty can in, then searches the room one more time.

_This is perfect, I can lock the door and hole up here almost forever. A faint smile touches her lips. My father will be angry that I put myself in this situation in the first place, but he'll be proud that I was smart enough to hide, to preserve my honor._

Double checking that the door is locked, Kayo skims the reading material, finding a romance novel that does not see too trashy, then lays down on the bed to read for a little while. A few chapters into the book, exhausted from the emotional strain of the day, Kayo begins to drift off to sleep.

Kayo is startled awake by a speaker beside the bed, "Contestant Kayo, you have been in your current location for exactly Five hours. The door to your safe house has been unlocked electronically and will not be lockable for one hour. Every man on this island has been alerted to both your current location, and your still virgin status." Only a slight pause, Kayo can hear the amusement in the man's voice over the intercom as he utters the last few words, "Have a nice day!"

Filled with panic, Kayo half jumps, half falls out of the bed she had been sleeping in, stumbling half way to the door before she remembers her backpack. Turning around, she quickly grabs her backpack, then turns to the door once more, half aware that through this all, she's still somehow holding the romance novel she had started reading earlier.
