Paul returns with beers
Take it
Paul hands it to you opened, it’s an expensive brand, you accept the peace offering and drink deep. Paul does the same.
“Your ridiculous exaggeration to our friends notwithstanding, I can follow your script.” You take another drink and Paul does the same.
“Thanks Erin, I really appreciate it. You’re really getting me out of a jam.”
“Yeah, yeah, don’t mention it.” You finish your beers. “Just do me a favor and don’t make up anything else for those knuckleheads.”
“I promise. Want another one?” He asks.
“Yes, please.” That sounded way too perky.
“ I gotta take a piss, I’ll be right back.” You wobble just a little bit standing up, still adjusting to the weight distribution of your new body. You head to the bathroom.
